The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty The Land of Chaos: Part II

Once Cross was sure that there were no more people in the village affected by Madness, he forced himself into flight, causing more black feathers to drop from his wings. As he flew tiredly towards the Unknown, the feathers laid out a trail behind him. While under normal circumstances the raven haired male would fly high into the sky, now he found himself lucky to even make it above the treetops. When he touched down not too far outside the Unknown, he found that Alice was already there waiting for him. She looked worried, and immediately ran up to him when his feet touched the ground. "You're really tired and hurt," she said, in the way that any little child would show they recognized what was going on. Cross only nodded lightly and she moved closer to him. "Let me fix it," she said quickly. When her best friend shook his head, her onyx eyed gaze turned sad. "Why not?"

"This one's not something you can fix."

"Is too, I do it all the time when you're like this," she said with an upset huff. The look Cross gave her made her think that maybe she'd said something wrong, and when he spoke she knew she had.

"What? What do you mean? You've been extracting Madness from me this whole time?"

Alice swallowed and nodded lightly. "You're like a magnet for it and you're always really tired when you have it..." she told him, as if that was a very legitimate excuse. She thought it was, anyways.

Cross' expression turned hard at the small girl's words. "That's dangerous, Alice."

"It's okay, it doesn't hurt me. So let me fix you," she insisted, moving to touch his hand. Her black eyes widened in surprise when Cross pulled his hand away, and she looked up at him in shock. He'd never pulled his hand away from her before. He'd never been mad at her before either, but he looked mad, even if to anyone else his expression would be the same. She could see it in his eyes. He was...he was angry.

"No. I'll find a way to release it back into the Unknown. Until then you can't heal me," he said. Why hadn't he known before that's part of what she'd been doing to heal him? When her eyes tears up, he turned and started into the Unknown. Hearing her little footsteps trailing behind him, he kept walking and did nothing. Creatures of the Unknown seemed to ignore her anyways, so her coming in with him wasn't a big deal. "What do you do with it after you take it away from me?" he asked without looking at the small child. When Alice didn't respond, he stopped walking and turned to look at her. He was too tired for this. "Alice...look, I'm not angry with you. I just don't want you getting hurt doing something I can take care of myself."

Alice kept her gaze down, sniffling like she was going to start crying at any moment. She was shaking lightly and holding a teddy bear Cross didn't remember bringing in. "I-I take it to daddy so he can get rid of it," she said in a tiny voice, giving another sniffle.

Cross nearly sighed. He hadn't meant to upset her. "How do you find him?" Another silence. "Alice?"

"Daddy comes to find me when I call him..."

Cross felt a bit relieved at that. "Can you-" At that moment, the black winged male had to back away from Alice, because a flaming chain-like whip came flying at him, crashing into his stomach and pinning him to a now broken tree for a few moments before retracting and letting him drop. His eyes wide with pain, Cross fell forward, but in that instant found himself too weak to catch himself. The chain whip had had some sort of barbed wire-like spikes on it which had stuck into his stomach upon impact. Not to mention, the flames had been black, making Cross feel like he'd absorbed more Madness than he had outside the Unknown.

With a grin, Oblivion walked towards the downed winged creature, ignoring the little white haired girl as he would a tiny insect. He picked the winged messenger up by his throat. "How would you like to become a different kind of messenger?" he said in a harsh grating voice as blackness started flowing along his arm and towards Cross' body.

Her eyes wide with fear, Alice backed up before running away, towards the entrance. She had to find help. Tears were streaming from her black eyes as she held her brown plush bear close to her. "Help! Someone help!!" she screamed, trying to find someone to help her save her best friend.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Batsu had left Kymin and Jasper to their own while he headed back to the Unknown. He had business to take care of and it had to be dealt with immediately. With no time to spare, he flew back to the place he'd been 'born'. When he arrived, he entered without very much caution. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to find Silence or not, but as he moved, he found himself walking in the direction of a screaming child. Batsu was surprised to find that it was Alice. His grey eyes narrowed. "Alice," he called. "What's wrong?" He could see she was crying and scared. "Calm down."

Hunter had also left the Gears after explaining to Serenity that he had to go back to the Unknown since he'd completed his task. He could have stayed and helped her, but he had to bring Batsu back to the Unknown as Silence had asked. Unfortunately when he left her he found out that the red haired male was gone, meaning he had done one of two things. Ditched without caring or gone back to the Unknown on his own. Hunter was hoping for the latter of the two. So he started back there, taking a different entrance that was closer and immediately came upon Silence who was walking around as graceful as one could be when they were a Guardian.

"Silence, I delivered your message, but now I need to draw the sword."

Silence turned to Hunter and looked at the immortal with black eyes. "It is time." Hunter simply nodded. "Then go." Silence was very well aware of all the Madness that had leaked from the Unknown and it was time to call upon those who served in the Unknown to stop the flow of evil. Unfortunately there were not many, but he could indeed find others willing to fight, if they were worthy of such a task.

Hunter took off for his cave the second Silence had given him the go ahead. When he made it into the cavern and then to the underground volcano he felt his sureness fade away. If he died out there, he'd be gone forever, but at the same time the curse would be lifted. Hunter gave a shaky sigh and started into the boiling hot magma. When he reached the center where the sword lie in wait he froze again. He wasn't sure he could do this.

Alice was extremely glad to find Batsu was coming into the Unknown at the house at the very moment she needed him. But still she couldn't stop crying. If there was one thing she was truly afraid of, it was losing Cross to Oblivion. "C-Cross i-is in trouble," she cried, grabbing the red haired male's hand. "P-please, he needs help!" She saw that Batsu wasn't healed either, and that worried her. Would she just be dragging him to his death?maybe she just should have called her father, but she didn't know if he'd help Cross because he was from outside the Unknown. "Please Batsu," she cried, pulling on his arm.

Batsu wouldn't deny Alice the right to save Cross. Besides, the red haired male owned the older male his life. Batsu nodded. "Alright, I'll help him, show me where he is." Batsu was afraid that Cross might have been overwhelmed by Madness from helping him earlier, but when they arrived on the scene, he saw that he was very wrong. The problem was Oblivion. "Go hide," he told Alice. His wings spread and his teeth grew sharp as his eyes turned red. "OBLIVION!" He called the Keeper of Madness without a hint of fear. His tone may have said fearless, but his heart was pounding in his chest. What was he going to do against that thing? "Let him go."

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Post by The Merciful Overlord Fri Jul 26, 2013 5:30 pm

Cross was struggling to get breath into his lungs while in Oblivion's grip, and while usually he was capable of holding his breath for long amounts of time, now it felt like oxygen was being pulled away from him. Normally he wasn't one to struggle against an enemy's grip, but he'd never faced an enemy before that he had zero chance of beating. His hands tugged on Oblivion's, but he was too weak to do much. He'd alreadly been near overwhelmed by Madness earlier, but now so much of it was flowing through his veins that his very skin was becoming tinted black with it's color. He gasped for breath when the dark color started spreading up to his face, and he turned his head slightly as he heard a familiar voice. Alice and Batsu were there. "G-get out," he breathed, his wings flapping desperately behind his back.

Oblivion's gaze turned to Batsu with an amused grin when the winged creature tried to gain his attention. Even now he was letting Madness flow through Cross, and the male's teeth were growing sharper, despite how he tried to fight against it. "Okay," he grinned, throwing Cross directly at Batsu. He was wondering if by now the larger winged creature was consumed enough by Madness. There was, as it stood, only one way to find out.

Batsu frowned when he saw how bad off Cross was. Oblivion was doing the same thing he'd done to Boreas and it seemed to be getting way worse. He didn't hesitate to catch Cross when Oblivion threw him. Batsu looked down at the raven haired male and shook his head. Damn it, I can't consume all of this and fight of Oblivion. What do I do? He quickly decided to pull enough to keep Cross from going insane like Kana. With as much force as he could muster, he pulled on the blackness that was consuming the other winged male. He didn't care what happened to himself, he just had to save Cross for Alice. He didn't stop until he had pulled enough Madness for Cross to gain his normal color. When he finally moved away Batsu was shedding feathers and shaking. "A-Alice, take him...." Batsu moved towards Oblivion, his red eyes half closed. "Why not take on someone who's actually worth you while." Of course he wasn't speaking badly about Cross, he just wanted Oblivion's attention. He wondered if he could push Madness back into the the overly large creature. He'd just have to see. Flapping his wings he flew up into a tree and without warning sent off a supernova turned black from the Madness at the creature before him.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Post by The Merciful Overlord Fri Jul 26, 2013 9:37 pm

Oblivion's grin widened in amusement when the red haired creature pulled Madness from Cross. He'd made a connection with the raven haired male, so an invisible thread of Madness connected him to Cross, like it did with all creatures with Madness. Normally he could only keep tabs on creatures with that connection, but with Cross, he could pump as much Madness into the being as he so desired, which is exactly what he did. "Because he's far more capable of spreading my essence than you."

Cross flinched when he was thrown into Batsu, trying to fight off the consciousness that was attempting to overcome him. He started immediately to pull away from Batsu until the guy started taking Madness away from him. "D-don't," he stuttered hoarsely. Once the red haired male tore away from him and told him to take Alice, he slowly got to his feet, nearly falling forward once he was on them. He went to turn to Alice, but stopped, eyes wide as the blackness once more spread through his body, this time at a more rapid pace. He fell to his knees and grasped his head in his hands, letting out a scream as his black wings enclosed him. When Alice, black eyes wide and afraid started towards him, his wings opened just enough so that his face would be visible. "Stop!" The white haired girl came to an abrupt stop, but kept staring at him. Cross' skin was black, and his teeth sharpened canines. His emerald eyes, however, were the same, but she could have sworn they were glowing. "G-go get Him..." He kept his wings around him, but it was clear his body was shaking, and when his wings rattled against him, feathers fell. "B-Batsu," he growled, closing his eyes tightly as Oblivion sent even more Madness to him for resisting. "L-leave with her. Find Him..." Around his body, wind started swirling like a vortex of light.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Post by The Godfather Sat Jul 27, 2013 11:27 am

Batsu really didn't like Oblivion. He was becoming a real pain in the ass. Batsu turned his head to cross as the guy screamed. For a moment he wasn't sure what was happening, but then he saw the shedding of feathers. How the hell was he still shedding feathers when Batsu had clearly drawn enough Madness to keep him stable. He blinked when he was told to leave with Alice. "Are you crazy! He'll destroy you!" Batsu wasn't sure what to do anymore. Wasn't sure how to save his friend. He turned to Oblivion and then back to Cross and Alice. "Damn it!" He wasn't leaving Cross behind. "Alice," he said as he flew down towards the girl. "Go get whoever he's talking about." He landed next to Cross and placed a hand on his back. "I'm staying, whether you like it or not." He slowly pulled on the Madness. There was so much of it! "Alice, hurry, please." He looked towards Oblivion. This was crazy, he couldn't do this alone. Not now. Not ever!

Hunter had been starring at the sword for so long that he'd forgotten why he'd even wanted to draw it. All he knew was that this sword could either make or break him. It could possibly get him killed and he was not ready for death. He let out a shaky sigh and grabbed the blade. It felt warm and cold all at the same time. Pulling upwards he drew it from the hardened magma and let a wave of energy wash over him. "If I die....at least it was for a good cause," he tried to assure himself. With that he took his leave and exited the cavern. He wondered where he should go. Probably to find Silence so he could track down the creatures that had escaped.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Post by The Merciful Overlord Sat Jul 27, 2013 12:40 pm

When she found both Batsu and Cross telling her to leave to go find him, she finally nodded, but was whimpering in fear as she turned to run away. "Da-yaaaah!!" As soon as she's started calling for him, Oblivion's chain had wrapped itself around her and pulled her backwards towards the enormous being. Nothing in the Unknown could hurt her, so the barbs on the chain didn't pierce her skin nor the fire burn her, but that didn't make it any less scary. She gave another scream of fear when Oblivion took her from the whip and easily held her within one hand. His face was scary, because he didn't even seem to have one, and the white haired girl glanced at Batsu and Cross. How was she going to go find him now? Tears ran down her face, and when she glanced back to Oblivion it only got worse. "D-daddy!!! Daddyyy!!"

"Don't," Cross growled when Batsu came near again. Even as the red haired creature pulled, Cross' skin wasn't changing back to its normal color. "I-it'll only...destroy you too...I c-can...I can handle this," he said shakily. His wings continued shedding and his body seemed to be shivering more than before. When he still felt Batsu pulling on the Madness, Cross gave a growl and moved to swipe the red haired male away, unaware that his nails had turned into sharpened claws. "I said stop!" The raven haired male paused, eyes wide, when he heard Alice scream. He brought himself to his feet and looked around for her quickly. When he saw her in Oblivion's grip, the swirling vortex of light around him turned into slicing winds and the blackness started spreading to his eyes. In that instant it would've seemed as if Cross had turned completely feral when he let out an enraged growl as Madness overtook him. No longer caring for the pain from the fight with Kana, his wings beat down heavily, the winds around him pushing him quickly towards Oblivion. The moment he got close enough, light started forming around his hand an Cross pulled on that light with his other hand, a large sword forming out of it. His aim was to cut off the hand holding Alice.

Oblivion noticed something about this girl, and that was that she wasn't harmed by anything he did to her. He wondered if she would be affected by Madness the same way every other creature was, and he would have tested that theory had the girl not screamed. At that moment, he knew exactly who she was and instead of holding her as he'd been, he held her in his hand with her head in the palm of it to keep her from screaming. He should have known it, for she looked exactly like him with the white hair and the black eyes. His attention had to be turned away from the girl as Cross came to attack him, clearly overwhelmed by Madness. So this girl was his trigger then. Oblivion was both annoyed and curious as to how Cross still managed attacks with light when he was overwhelmed by darkness, but swatted the winged creature straight to the ground like a fly and crushed him with his foot in the same way. Some ribs had surely broken in the process, and it made Oblivion grin wider, turning his gaze finally onto Batsu.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Post by The Godfather Sat Jul 27, 2013 1:27 pm

(Holy shit! This is getting crazy! I need epic music now!)

Batsu stepped back when Cross swiped at him. What he saw wasn't Cross, but a reflection of what Batsu used to be. He shook his head when Cross said he was going to get killed too. "Then so be it," he told the raven haired male. The grey eyed creature turned just as quickly when he heard Alice scream. When Cross took off, Batsu tried to stop him. "Cross! Wait!" Too late, Oblivion had gotten to him first. Batsu narrowed his eyes as the guy looked at him. What the hell was he supposed to do now? He could attempt to pull Madness from Cross and inject it into Oblivion at the same time, but...what if it didn't work? There were so many actions he could take but there was no guarantee any would work. Save Cross or save Alice? Batsu was sure he couldn't do either but he'd try. Flapping his wings he headed high into the trees. He wished that he was as strong as before, but he wasn't. Without anymore hesitation he curled into a ball, his wings closing around him. "This is the world I was born into," he said as he caught on fire. "This is the world I should protect." The flames began to burn brighter. "These are the people that matter." Batsu dove down toward Oblivion, spinning as he went until it was a tornado of fire. "I'll be damned if I let this bastard destroy everything!"

Silence had been on a walk through the Unknown as usual. He'd been stopping every now and then to welcome a newly changed soul here and there. Batsu had done a good thing by bringing them here, even if Oblivion had been taking advantage of it. When he'd decided to change course and go to the waterfall he didn't expect to hear his daughter's scream. Why was she calling him in such a fearful manner? Of course he knew something was happening with Oblivion, but he'd not imagined that Alice was involved, not until he arrived on the scene. When he saw a tornado of fire going down towardns Oblivion he didn't much care, but the sight of Alice in Oblivion's grip turned the pure white creature into something less calm and serene. Silence moved towards Oblivion and stared up at him. "Release her."

Hunter generally found Silence within minutes, but he couldn't find his location for the life of him. With the sword on his back he decided to go to the exit, but stopped when he came upon a battle between Cross, Oblivion, Batsu, and although he was hoping he was wrong, Silence.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Post by The Merciful Overlord Sat Jul 27, 2013 2:20 pm

(Soundtrack)

Cross curled up on his side, his wings enclosing him as blood spattered from his mouth after Oblivion's strike. Mad or not, the pain that spread through his body was overwhelming, far too much for him to bear even though he wanted to save Alice. He heard things going on around him, unaware of what was happening. He tried to force himself to move. The pain spread further, his sword disappearing, though the wind around him continued to slice through the air in visible waves. There was only one thought on his mind and it was not destroying, but rather...saving. Protecting. Saving and protecting Alice.

The large creature of Madness grinned as Batsu flew up into the sky. He assumed the being to be fleeing, and he would not care either way if he was. That creature's actions were of no consequence to him. He'd done what he'd needed to with Cross. He now had two vessels that could go out into the world to spread his Madness, even if Cross tried to resist it. Kana was doing well not to resist it, which pleased him to no end. When he heard the sound of destruction through the trees, he looked up without worry, only to see a tornado of flames coming down towards him. He put his arm up to block the tornado, without much care, but when it hit his arm, his normally narrow eyes widened as his very skin started sizzling and blistering at the impact. With what sounded close to a pained roar, Oblivion swatted Batsu away with the arm that held Alice, though he did not drop the child. She was struggling within his grip, even though she could see nothing that was going on around her. He nearly dropped her, however, when he saw Silence arrive. Damn this child and her big mouth. "Or what? Will you rip her from my grasp?" he grinned. He didn't usually stand up to Silence, but he had a key pawn in his hand. He could fill this child with Madness if he so desired, at least he was hoping he could. He already felt a tiny bit of Madness inside the child, so it wasn't impossible, he was sure. Children were more likely to give into Madness anyways.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Post by The Godfather Sat Jul 27, 2013 2:45 pm

Batsu hit a tree after being swatted away. He groaned lightly and tried to gather his thought process. He was tired as hell, but at the same time he was determined. He'd damaged Oblivion, so he knew it wasn't impossible to stop him. Batsu pushed himself to his feet, his teeth bared in a growl. He was in so much pain, but Alice needed rescuing. With weak steps he moved forward, once more allowing his wings to catch ablaze. He'd barely made it half way when Silence appeared and he looked angry. Batsu froze for a minute before collasping onto the ground. Silence could handle this. He'd done so before, right? His eyes slid close as he slid into the sweet comfort of unconsciousness.

Hunter blinked when Oblivion roared. Served him right. He blinked again when Silence turned and then when Batsu collasped. Too much was happening at once. He looked to Cross who was far too injured to help himself and headed over to him. "Hang in there," he said as he rolled the guy over. "Help is on the way."

Silence narrowed his eyes when Oblivion challenged him. "Yes," he replied. "I will rip her from your grasp while I remove your entire arm. Now release her." He sounded as angry as he looked. How had Oblivion gotten ahold of his daughter? Cross was supposed to protect her and he had failed. This only fueled Silence's anger.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Post by The Merciful Overlord Sat Jul 27, 2013 3:28 pm

White light from the winds surrounding Cross ruffled his wings as he shook, and he wasn't aware of the person approaching him until he was rolled over. Against whatever better judgement Cross had left, he forced himself to sit up. His whole body was racked with pain, but he couldn't sit still knowing Alice was in danger. "G-get away from me," he growled at the purple eyed man, pushing himself shakily to his feet. From somewhere around him he heard mention of removing Oblivion's arm and thought of what a brilliant idea that was. He'd try it again. The color of his skin and eyes seemed to grow darker by the second as more Madness overcame him.

Oblivion was so busy paying attention to Silence that he didn't realize Cross had gotten back up, so when the raven haired male came at him with that same large sword as earlier, he didn't have the time to guard himself as his arm fell to the ground with a thud, the hand opening slightly as Alice tried to get out of it. A screeching roar filled the area as Oblivion stumbled backwards. A fire engulfed him and in that moment he fled by turning into black smoke, the winds in the area dispersing him. He'd come back, once he regained his arm, he'd come back. But first he'd destroy that winged creature for taking his arm.

Cross landed on the ground, his sword disappearing as he stumbled over to the hand towards where Alice would be. As he went, his wings involuntarily started curling around him, and a white fire surrounded them. After Oblivion dissipated, the flames started turning black and even though he tried to keep them open, Cross' wings continued to try and encase him, until he got to where Alice was, forcing Oblivion's detached hand open. He was relieved to see that she was okay. Scared and crying, but okay. Although, now there was too much Madness flowing through him and entering him from afar. In fact, it seemed like the Madness from the surrounding area was getting pulled towards him, from Batsu and whatever creatures around him contained the essence. Blackness flowed to him in waves, causing him to fall to his knees as his wings enclosed him completely. The longer it persisted, the more black fire surrounded him. He felt like all the Madness was either going to make him cave in on himself or explode, and he couldn't tell which. He wanted to get away from Alice and Batsu and Hunter, but he couldn't move.

Once Alice felt the hand holding her fall, she tried pushing her way out, but the fingers wouldn't move too much. She'd thought that it had been her dad that had gotten her out, but when she saw it was Cross, her tear-filled eyes widened. Something was wrong with him, and she didn't think it was just the Madness. When she saw Silence, and that Oblivion was gone, she ran to him, hugging him as she started crying more. "D-daddy, daddy!" She looked back to Cross, just as scared as when Oblivion had first picked her friend up. "Daddy," she cried, looking up at him. Her teary black eyes were begging for him to do something.

Post by The Godfather Sat Jul 27, 2013 3:44 pm

Hunter backed away when Cross told him to do so. What the hell was going on? His eyes widened when the black haired male cut Oblivion's arm clean off. He wasn't sure how to handle such a thing as he watch Oblivion burst into flames before disappearing. "He...he just took his arm off."

Silence turned back to his normal color as he moved towards the hand that held his daughter. As Alice came over to him he picked her up and held her in his arms. "Good girl," he said as he patted her back in such a gentle manner that you'd think he spent all his time with her. He walked over to Cross and knelt down with Alice still in his arms. "Rest Messenger, for you have done as I have asked." He placed his hand on Cross's back and healed his injures as he pulled out the Madness. Oblivion was growing stronger and there was very few things he could do to stop him. Cross, Batsu, and Alice were the only ones who could pull Madness from a victim, but it wasn't enough. He needed more people. If he had his staff he could be more productive.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Post by The Merciful Overlord Sat Jul 27, 2013 4:23 pm

Cross tried to force himself to his feet to get away from everyone in case he lost control, but no matter how hard he tried, his body wouldn't move. He didn't want to hurt any of these people, least of all Alice. He decided right then that if he had a choice, he would force his body to shut down rather than letting off an explosion. He held his head in his hands and just as he felt like everything was going to end right there, he felt a hand on his back, and everything just stopped. All the pain, all the Madness flowing to him, all of the irrational thoughts. The moment Silence allowed him to rest, Cross's wings relaxed and he fell to his side, his skin and eyes their normal color once more. Everything about the raven haired male had reverted back to normal. Without hesitation, Cross fell unconscious.

Alice watched as everything came to a halt, sniffling lightly as she held onto her father. His hand patting her back as gently as he had seemed to have calmed her down. She hugged him as he healed and fixed Cross all up, but she was a little scared again when she saw he didn't stand back up. "I-is he gonna be okay daddy..?" she asked, looking up at the Guardian of the Unknown, that she knew only to be her father.

Jasper walked into the Unknown, staring at the sword in his hand. He wondered if it meant something, that Silence's Breath was almost always a sword when he was holding it. He supposed it didn't really matter now, since he'd be free soon enough. He'd be back with Rin and their children, and he could rest again. He missed them. He missed them as much as he'd missed Rin when she'd died. He hated that she'd had to go first, but at the same time he'd been glad, because he'd known that if he'd gone first, she would have been as sad as he. Sighing, Jasper shook his head and continued on. All that was left now was to find Silence and return this sword that had turned out to be more trouble than it was worth.

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Silence looked to Alice and nodded. "He will be fine. He is only resting." He set the small child down and headed towards Batsu. He knelt beside the unconscious creature and healed him as well. "When you have finished resting come find me," he told Batsu as he stood up. "Hunter," he called.

The purple eyed male looked up. "Yes?" He'd been in shock. One, he didn't know Oblivion could be hurt and two, Silence had a child? Who was the mother and when did this come about? He'd seen Alice a thousand times over, but the little shapeshifter had never been with her father, only Cross.

"You have drawn the sword," Silence asked. Hunter nodded. "Do you remember it's purpose." Hunter nodded again. "Then you know what you must do," he spoke. "The sword's purpose is not to withdraw Madness, but to destroy it. You will help Batsu with his task. Where he fails you will succeed. Do you understand?"

"I undersand," he said. He knew he had to find those creatures who'd escaped. If Batsu couldn't cure them then he hadto destroy them. He didn't want to, but it was what Silence had asked of him.

Silence nodded and went back to Alice once Hunter went over to the downed red head. "Alice," Silence called gently. "I must go now. Your friends are safe."

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Alice sniffled, but smiled lightly when her dad told her that Cross was going to be okay, and that he was just resting. When he put her down, she looked to Cross, and then to the red haired mister as her father healed him as well. She was glad she had a good daddy. In the world outside the Unknown, she'd heard that some kids had really mean daddies. Once her dad came back over to her and told her he had to go, she went over to him and hugged him with a small smile. "Thank you daddy," she said happily. "I love you." She'd learned those words from outside the Unknown too.

Jasper looked around the Unknown as he walked, swinging the sword in a circle. 'You're going to cut something off, idiot.' The black haired male shook his head. "Silence," he called. "I got it." He was starting to think though. Fara was sitting on his shoulder, wondering what he was talking about when he called Silence, saying he got something. Jasper wondered if she would miss him. He was sure him and Boreas both would miss her. Damn it, he hadn't been supposed to make any connections while alive. That just made it harder for him to move on. 'Can I come out for a bit..? Just until we find Silence?' Jasper gave a small sigh. "Sure." Once his eyes were orange, and Boreas was the conscious of this body, he looked at Fara. "Hey little sister." When she smiled and waved, he gave a small smile of his own. "I might not be around too much longer," he said. When Fara only blinked in confusion, he continued. "I might be able to make a request of Silence though. To exist as an entity separate from Jasper. Jasper wants to move on and be with his family. But I want to keep existing." Fara seemed sad by this information, and she looked down, her wings drooping a bit. Internally, Jasper was a bit surprised at this revelation. He'd never seen Boreas...upset, by anything before.

Silence smiled as his daughter hugged him. He hugged her back and then moved along. He didn't understand what Alice found so interesting about the outside world, but he would never stop her from exploring. With Cross as her Guardian all would be fine. "I love you too little one." With that he took his leave. He'd heard Jasper call him and he was sure the undead shinobi had returned with his staff. When he got to the guy in person he saw that it was Boreas. He saw the fairy and assumed they were saying their goodbyes. "When you finish show me Jasper."

Hunter sat silently by Batsu and Cross. He'd moved Batsu near the raven haired male and laid them both out so they would be comfortable. He'd found himself thinking about a lot of things as he waited. He was a bit worried that neither would awake for a long time and although he lived here, he was still human and the Unknown did not treat humans kindly.

Alice waved goodbye to her dad as he went away, and then went over and sat next to Cross, her legs pulled up to her chest as she watched Hunter move Cross and mister Batsu. "Are you going to be leaving the Unknown too?" she asked curiously. She was glad everything was alright. Her daddy was always there for her. And she was very glad that mean Oblivion was gone. She hated him, he made everything all nasty. She glanced towards Cross and Batsu. She hoped they slept well. While she waited for Hunter to answer, she started humming lightly, with her wish in mind. As she did, she saw Cross's expression soften more than usual and she smiled while she hummed.

Boreas looked towards Silence as he appeared and was quiet for a moment. Should he make his request before or after Jasper returned the sword? He looked down at the sword in his hand. He then looked up to the white haired being. "After you send Jasper on his way, can I continue living?" he asked hopefully. Fara blinked and for a few moments, looked between Silence and Boreas. She didn't want either Boreas or Jasper to go away.

Silence looked at Boreas for a long moment. He then looked to Fara. "If I allow you to stay," he said as he looked back to Boreas. "You must promise to help stop the Madness that has escaped." His eyes were unblinking as he waited for the answer. He really didn't care for what Boreas wanted. He just wanted his staff.

Hunter nodded. "Yes I am. There's a war that's going to start and I have to help stop it so everyone can find peace again." A few feet away from him he saw Cross's expression change and Batsu sighed before turning his head away. "Did you do something to them," he asked curiously. "They seem calmer. Is it the humming?"

Boreas nodded immediately at Silence's request. He didn't care what it took to stay here, he just didn't want to leave yet. He was still young, as far as chakra's went. He'd barely even reached his late teens, if he were to put it in human terms. Two hundred years was nothing to him. "I'll help," he said, his orange eyes shining with a certain kind of determination that Jasper had never witnessed from him before. He paused. "I'll let you talk to Jasper now," he said, taking a breath. He didn't want to disappear without being able to live his own life.

Jasper blinked once he realized he was in control of his body again. He looked at the sword before handing it to Silence. "I'm sorry it took me as long as it did."

Alice smiled when Hunter said he was leaving too, but because of a war. "Maybe if Cross and mister wake up at the same time, we can all go out together," she said hopefully, looking to the two sleeping males. She wanted Cross to wake up quickly so she could make sure he was okay, but she wanted him to rest and be healthy and happy too. So she could wait. She looked back to the man with the purple eyes, a smile on her face at his question. She nodded. "It's because I wished for them to sleep peacefully," she told him. Cross had told her never to tell anybody such a thing, but she felt like she could trust this purple eyed man. "What's your name mister?"

Silence nodded when Boreas agreed. "Then you can have your own life." He looked to Jasper as he took over. Taking his staff he nodded. "You have returned what you owe, so there is no need for an apology." He gave another nod. "I could use you. There's a war coming and I trust very few to save those on the outside. Yet family means more I would assume?" He looked to Fara. "You make sure Boreas keeps his promise. Jasper, you're free to pass."

"My name is Hunter Alexander. And it would be nice to travel with you and Cross, but Batsu has to speak with Silence first." He looked down at the two winged males. "If you're cool with waiting then okay." He smiled. "I'm glad you're helping them sleep lighter, they've had a pretty rough day." He looked to Alice. "So, why are you always leaving the Unknown."

The Land of Chaos: Part II Empty Re: The Land of Chaos: Part II

Jasper only nodded when Silence said there was no need for an apology. Okay, that was fine. He blinked when the white haired being said he could use him because a war was coming up. He wanted nothing to do with this war. He just wanted to be with Rin. Which is why he nodded again when Silence assumed family was more important. A smile crossed over his face when the guardian of the Unknown said he was free to pass. I'm going to miss you, buddy. But I'll see you again real soon. "Hey Fara, you be good to Boreas, okay?" When the fairy nodded sadly, he picked her up and put her on the ground, kneeling in front of her. He took the brown gloves out of his pocket that Boreas had made him buy and laid them next to her. "Make sure he gets these, will ya?" He blinked when she nodded and he realized the small fairy was crying. "I..." He blinked again, but then gave a small sigh. "I'll see you around little one. Hopefully no time soon, for your sake." Standing up, he took a few steps back from the little grey haired fairy before looking to Silence. "Thank you." It was too bad he wouldn't get a chance to say goodbye to Batsu and Cross and Alice. 'I'll tell them for you,' Boreas assured him. Taking a breath, Jasper closed his eyes as he started to visibly fade away, leaving behind an orange essence.

The orange smoke-like essence floated in place for several long moments before finally took on a body, different from Jasper's. When Boreas opened his eyes, he had to blink hard a few times to try and steady himself, because the moment he saw the world through his very own eyes, he started feeling dizzy. He was a bit taller than Jasper had been, although that was hardly the problem. The problem here, if it could be called that, was that this was his very own body. One conscious mind. Not two. For a few moments, he felt that it might be lonely, but he quickly got over it when the realization of what had happened fully hit him. "No...no way..." he mumbled, looking down at his hands with his orange eyes wide. That was the only thing about him that hadn't changed.

Alice smiled when the man introduced himself as Hunter Alexander. "Now you're a real Hunter," she said with a tiny giggle. "You have to save the things out there from Oblivion, so you have to hunt them down mister Hunter," she said with a smile. Even though she'd heard the conversation between this man and her dad, the small white haired child still couldn't seem to differentiate between Madness and Oblivion. They both had the same type of feeling. "I can wait. I want Cross to feel all better, so he can rest while you guys are busy," she said with a small nod, looking to her friend. She nodded again when Hunter said they'd had a rough day, but her expression seemed to fall slightly. "I wonder if that lady is okay..." she mumbled. Her onyx eyes blinked at Hunter's question. "Huh? Oh," she smiled. "It's because the outside world is so interesting. It's a lot different from in here." She'd always wondered why her dad never wandered outside. He was older than her, so maybe he'd seen it before, but she always wondered.

Of course Silence hadn't cared if Jasper stayed or not. He just need others to protect those on the outside. The black eyed guardian looked to Jasper as he placed Fara down as well as the gloves before disappearing into nothingness. Silence looked to Boreas as the orange eyed male gathered his bearings. "Accompany me to the others," he said as he turned away and started for the group he'd left behind.

Hunter smiled. Alice may have been Silence's daughter, but she was still a child. The purple eyed male gave a small laugh. "I guess I am," he said. He wondered if Alice understood that he wouldn't just be saving those souls, but destroying them as a whole. Batsu would do all the saving, he was just back up. "Glad you like the outside world," he said with a nod. "I wish I could share your feelings. It's been a while since I've been outside."

Boreas looked around after he finally got himself together, only to see the little fairy on the ground, looking up at him hopefully, as if she thought since he was a different person now he would abandon her. Boreas knelt down and slipped the gloves on before picking Fara up. He was grateful to Jasper for leaving them. He put the little fairy on his shoulder with a light smile and followed after Silence. He assumed there were other people who would be searching for Madness as well. He wondered if he'd get to meet these people, or get some kind of weapon. Of course, he had his own kind of weapon. He briefly wondered if his ice still worked, but he didn't want to test it out with Fara on his shoulder.

Alice smiled when Hunter laughed. She liked making people laugh. Human happiness was fun to watch. She liked it. She looked at the man curiously. "Huh? You don't like the outside world?" she asked, tilting her head. She glanced at Cross when his wing shifted slightly before relaxing, and she gave a small smile.
