Boreas gave Batsu a confused look when he told them to back off. He couldn't get her to calm down by himself, that much was obvious. He'd tried that already, and considering the girl was still enraged, it had failed. He blinked at the red haired male's request, but eventually nodded. "You got it boss." Even though he said okay, he was fairly wary of letting go of her arm. When he did finally let go, he did so quickly, backing off just as quick. A good thing too, because if he'd been a moment slower, those claws would've made their way across his face again. Standing up, Boreas started towards the Unknown, sprouting the ice wings before taking off to go warn Silence.

Cross's reaction, on the other hand, was more calm and understanding than Boreas's. The guy had flipped out on him before for trying to help, and though he knew this was different, at the same time, it wasn't very so different from that situation. "....seriously, be careful," he said, getting off the girl and going over to Hunter and DK, kneeling down beside the two. "We have to take him inside," he told DK, glancing to Hunter. The guy was outcold. Glancing back to Batsu, he wasted no time in picking Hunter up, trying to be gentle but quick about it. "How bad was he hurt?" he asked DK, glancing to the kid, frowning when he saw the boy's neck. "How bad are you hurt?"

The moment both of the creature's arms were free, she tried hitting at Batsu again, pushing her one shoulder up to try to roll over so she could escape. Her blue whip once again formed in her hand, but she seemed too distracted with trying to get away to try and wrap it around any part of Batsu.

DK was a bit surprised when Cross came over and said they were doing inside the Unknown. He didn't understand why though. He blinked when he saw Batsu holding down that thing on his own. What was he thinking? Standing up DK hurried after Cross. "She kicked him really hard and then used that whip on him," he replied. "It knocked him right out and he won't wake up." The purple eyed child blinked when Cross asked about his injured. "I'm fine, just a bit bruised and battered, nothing serious."

Batsu grabbed the creature's arm once Boreas let go and then the other as Cross left. The black winged male nodded as Cross told him to be careful. "I will." The red eyed male nodded back as claws swipped at him again. Batsu didn't let the black and blue being get far because the moment everyone was in the Unknown the red haired male to the creature by the arm and flew up into the sky. Wings beat hard as he went above the clouds. Batsu pulled as much madness as he could handle. By the time he felt as though he was at his limit his teeth were canines and his feathers had started to shed heavily. Batsu kept a firm grip on the other being as his wings set ablaze and then consumed his entire body. Without a warning a supernova erupted around the two creatures. A wave of fire made the clouds look as though a nuclear explosion had been set off. Too exhausted to stay in the sky, Batsu made his way back to earth, pulling more madness as he went.

"You're going to have to stay with him. Boreas went to find Silence." Once they were far enough into the Unknown, Cross laid Hunter down carefully. He gave a glance to DK before starting out of the Unknown again, his black wings lifting him into the air as he sped out, a couple feathers falling as he went. He hadn't absorbed that much madness, at least not in comparison to before, and his feathers had barely been falling out before, except for around the wound in his wing. He came out just in time to see the blaze go off in the sky. It had worked with that brown haired girl, and Cross was hoping, as he landed, that it would work with this one too. His jade eyes widened slightly, when he saw Batsu flying down with the girl, only to see that the blackness surrounding her had barely diminished. The only difference was that her mask had cracked and black shards were falling slowly off.

While it had certainly worn the creature out, it didn't take long for her to regain a bit of energy once she felt the Madness being pulled on again. Reaching a hand up, what remained of the black claws on her hand slashed at Batsu's arm, a more distressed scream coming from her this time, even though there was still anger mixed within it. She swung out at the other winged being who came closer to them, but that wrist ended up captured as well. Even though the other being was trying to help them to the ground, the girl began thrashing again, this time unable to form whips or any other means of defense.

Batsu was breathing heavily by the time Cross had come over. The winged male pulled back as claws sliced through his arm, but a moment later took hold of her again. Batsu didn't feel to great anymore and it showed in his demeanor. Looking to Cross he shook his head. "We can't take her into the Unknown like this. She's got too much madness inside her to keep her calm until we find Boreas and Silence. We need a plan." His red eyes closed briefly and he stumbled forward. His head felt like it was about to explode. "Cross...." Batsu trailed off and damn near collapsed, but held on as if it was for dear life. I need to end this before this turns bad....really bad. "Step back," he told Cross weakly. "I'm going to try one more time, but I'm going to condense the supernova in a force field like I did with the other woman." Batsu looked almost miserable right now, but to save this soul he was willing to do it. His wings set aflame again, but the flames were brighter.

"We don't need her calm. We just need to keep hold of her until we find Silence," Cross insisted. Batsu was not looking good. He probably couldn't handle much more Madness, but the raven haired male was convinced he himself could handle more. Jade eyes quickly filled with concern when Batsu stumbled forward. "It's not a good idea, you'll fall unconscious," he warned. And if Batsu fell unconscious, who was to say that Madness wouldn't take over his body? Even as they spoke, Cross could feel that the girl was getting stronger again, even though her mask was crumbling still. Her Madness wasn't getting any worse, but what was left was causing her to thrash and scream again. "Let me do it," he insisted. "I haven't taken in as much as you have." While he might not have been able to create a supernova like Batsu could, he could do something similar.

Batsu shook his head. "Cross, listen to me will you." The winged male had started to shake a bit. "I need you to back off before you get caught in this. I'm not worried about myself, I'm worried about her. She's more important. She deserves to be saved. The longer we sit here arguing the worse it'll get. Like you said, you can take more than I can. You're going to have to be plan b." Without another word Batsu pushed Cross away from them and placed a force field around him and the creature. Pulling the madness he allowed it to wash inner him just like the flames on his wings. Batsu had never had anything worth living for. Saving souls was all he knew, so if it meant dying to save one he would do just that.

Cross didn't understand this. Batsu could just take the girl into the Unknown and give her to Silence, but instead he was here risking his life to-. It was only when Batsu pushed him away that he actually started understanding. And...so, he just stood up and let the red haired male do what he had to. However, the screaming of the girl didn't stop. It was different though, this time. This time is sounded almost scared. Almost like she was about to be put to a horrible fate. But Cross did nothing. If Batsu was risking his life for this creature, the raven haired male had confidence that Batsu wouldn't let her die.

Batsu was too exhausted to take flight, so instead he stayed put. Unlike when he usually used his fire, he couldn't feel the warmth, but today, right now he could feel the flames. They were warm against his skin, comforting and that warmth gently spread to the creature that he was holding on to as he withdrew the Madness. "I don't want to watch a soul continue to live in such a tormented way," he spoke quietly. "I know what it feels like and I'd rather give my life to save yours rather than watch you perish." The winged male shook his head and released the second supernova. The explosion was just as loud as the last as flames swirled around them. When it was over the force field dropped and Batsu, despite all that he was enduring stood with his grip still holding the black and blue creature.

Cross stood back and watched the supernovas take place inside the force field, ready to start forward at any indication that something was going wrong. He couldn't see anything past the flames, but he was more watching in case the flames turned black and Batsu lost control. There was no doubt in his mind that the creature, or girl, or whatever she was, contained far more Madness than anything they'd faced this far (excluding Oblivion of course), maybe even more that brown haired girl.

After the second supernova had ended, the armor on her arms had dissolved into nothing more than one long black glove and a silver bracelet with a bluish-green gem. Though, one hand still had a claw like the armor on her thumb and the other hand had a similar claw on her forefinger. The white scarf around her neck remained there, and while her white shirt was a bit shredded from countless battles beforehand, the black shorts that had matched her armor remained untouched, her legs covered mostly by long, semi-transparent boots with strange patterns. Attached to the side of those shorts was what looked to be an odd gold encrusted dagger that hadn't been there before. Once Batsu's attack had finished, the black helmet that had covered all of her head had crumbled off completely, leaving black sizzling remains on the ground. It revealed her to have red-orange hair, with eyes the color of the energy she had wielded before, her irises and sclera were of the same deep black as her armor, indicating that not all of the Madness had left her.

One thing indicated otherwise, however, and that was the fact that the girl, while no longer screaming in rage, was giving small, whimpering, hoarse screams of pain, that were barely even audible, possibly because she'd strained her voice so much earlier. Tears had formed in her eyes, but that wasn't the part that Cross took to be more human. It was when she spoke. They were little more than whispers, but they were two simple little words that made Cross believe there was enough Madness out of her to bring her to Silence.

Silence had been taking care of the creatures Batsu and Cross had brought in when he felt Madness enter the Unknown. He turned and went to find the source, only to come across Boreas. The guardian listened to the story that Boreas had to tell and then took the madness from him and headed for the gates only to run into Hunter and DK. Helping Hunter the guardian then healed DK, but as the group went outside, he stayed put. Silence could not leave the Unknown, but he'd wait for them to return, for he sensed something dangerous was coming their way.

Despite the transformation that occurred, Batsu didn't let her go, not until she spoke. Red eyes closed halfway and then he stumbled backwards. "See, I knew there was a good soul in there." The winged male then collapsed to the ground, the world seemed to spin around him as he held his head in his hands, and all his feathers seemed to drop from his wings all at the same time. Batsu looked as though he was in excruciating pain, causing his screams to be silent. He'd consumed so much Madness and had withstood the effects up until freeing the woman that had become consumed in it, but now it was taking a toll on him, sinking in. Batsu coughed several times and black blood stained the ground beneath him. He couldn't handle this. He couldn't live with this much madness inside of him. As if it was second nature his system tried to consume it bit by bit, but the madness was too powerful and too overwhelming. Without warning a supernova twice as big erupted from the winged male. When it was over Batsu was on his feet and he looked like he was ready to kill. His red eyes were narrow, his teeth had turned back into canines, the feathers from his wings were gone and were now bone and a thin layer of skin. There were flames around him, but instead of the normal orange, they were black. The only thing that showed that Batsu was still somewhere in there was the black tears that stained his teeth. This was painful.

DK ran outside the Unknown right as Batsu unleashed his supernova. The little dragon blinked as he saw the wave of black flames coming in his direction. Hadn't Batsu been using orange flames? Who was that woman? Why did Batsu look so...evil? All these questions ran through his head as he braced himself for the flames that would probably wipe him off the face of the earth. Hunter came out a few seconds too later after DK. The child had already run a good few feet and to chase after him would be suicide. "DK get back here," he yelled desperately.

The moment Batsu let go of the girl, Cross went over to her and picked her up, taking her closer to the entrance of the Unknown just as Boreas came out. "Watch her," he ordered, turning back around to start towards Batsu. The guy had absorbed too much. Cross had intended to go further towards Batsu, but then the guy let out a black supernova, and Cross had to stop and wrap his wings around himself to try and make a little bit of protection for himself. His wings got scorched, but other than that he was fine. Black feathers began drifting to the ground in abundance, but it was nothing compared to what Batsu's wings had lost. Moving forward again, Cross tried to reach through the flames to take a hold of Batsu's arm or wrist. Really though, he'd take a hold anywhere he could, even if it was the guy's shirt. If his arm got scorched by the black madness filled flames in the process, then so be it.

Boreas blinked when Cross ordered him to watch an orange haired girl while he ran off after Batsu. In the same moment, DK ran past him. It all seemed to happen way too fast for him to keep up with. The girl was far enough away from Batsu, but DK was in the line of fire. Without thinking, Boreas's feet carried him towards DK. Grabbing the back of the kid's shirt, he yanked him away so that he was between Batsu and DK. In the next moment there was a wall of ice forming behind Boreas, his back to it. Most of the flames went around the wall, but it hadn't had time enough to form properly, so the edges melted, allowing some flames to graze the sides of Boreas's arms. Clenching his jaw, Boreas formed a layer of ice over the burns and let the ice wall fall. "Stay with the girl. We still need to bring her to Silence," he growled lightly, turning to see Cross going after Batsu.

DK had never felt so terrified. He heard Hunter call his name, but his legs were frozen. The child gasped when Boreas came to him and protected him. Purple eyed wide with fear he stayed close to the orange chakra until it was over. "Your arm....you got hurt!" DK felt bad. "Thanks for saving me, be careful!" He then ran back to the gates, looking up to Hunter who had taken the girl over to Silence who knelt beside her and examined her carefully.

Batsu didn't want to live like this. He didn't want to be this way, but he'd accept it since he'd managed to give the girl get life back from madness. As much as he didn't want to fight his friends, the madness inside was telling him to do just that. As Cross reached for his arm, Batsu took the other makes wrist and went to throw him to the ground. As he did this he pulled on the soul of the other winged male. It had felt like forever since he'd done such a thing and as horrible as it sounded, the feeling felt good.

Cross's eyes widened momentarily when Batsu took a hold of him instead, but took the chance to pull as much Madness from the other male as he could in the short time of contact. As soon as he hit the ground, he felt an unfamiliar sensation, but he knew immediately what it was. His soul...it, Batsu was trying to pull it from him. At first, his fading soul seemed willing to go, but then the raven haired male remembered Alice, and remembered that he had to help Batsu. Because somehow in all this mess, the guy had ended up becoming a friend, even if the red haired male didn't realize it. Using his wings to push himself up more quickly, Cross went to grab a hold on Batsu again, even as his soul was being pulled on. He refused to back down, but he also refused to try and kill Batsu.

Boreas didn't really have time to worry about DK's thanks and concerns. Batsu had done way more than he should have with that girl, and now he was out of control. Only him and Cross could get him back to normal. And it looked to him like Cross was having quite a bit of trouble over there. Letting his body freeze itself over, Boreas put his hand on the ground, and ice sped along towards the mad winged male, aiming to freeze the guys feet to the ground, despite the flames. The ice in this form was stronger and colder than when he was simply in human form. He could only hope the black fire wasn't hot enough to melt it before it got too close.

The satisfaction of Cross soul coming to him so willing made him grin, showing the male didn't have a reason to live, but then he began resisting. "Why don't you just give up and give in. Your soul is already fading." The red eyed male narrowed his eyes as Cross came back at him. He let the other male catch him, which was strange considering he wanted to stay in this maddened state. "You really want the madness," Batsu asked. Grabbing into Cross's jacket he grinned and pushed the madness into him. "Take it." With the feel of coldness suddenly rushing through him Batsu looked towards Boreas. He was going to kill him too. "All you poor souls. So lost, so confused. I'll put an end to your misery." His wings spread as the flames started back up. Instead of a supernova there came flashes of scolding light.

Cross wasn't sure what Batsu had meant when he said his soul was fading. He'd heard that phrase a million times over by a bunch of different people, but he'd never grasped the meaning. Something didn't just stop existing like they were trying to explain it. And Cross was fairly certain that he wasn't ceasing to exist. Was he? At the moment, it didn't matter, because Batsu had taken a hold of his jacket and had actually started forcing the Madness into him. Cross didn't much care for the feeling that started coursing through him. He hated it. Even so, the raven haired male took a grip on the wrist holding his jacket and started pulling on the Madness from Batsu that was already forcing its way into him, trying to speed up the process. The faster he could get that black curse out of Batsu, the better. The problem was, Cross wasn't sure he could handle it all. That encounter with Oblivion had actually lowered his tolerance of the stuff. Which meant less was needed to drive him insane. Cross knew this though. He just needed to take enough for Batsu to regain his senses and go to Silence. He wouldn't take Batsu to Silence like this though. He knew what Silence was capable of when pissed off. Batsu didn't stand a chance. Despite the ice that was coming towards the two, Cross stood his ground and kept his hand around Batsu's wrist and didn't say a word, concentrating on pulling the Madness that was so willingly forcing itself through his veins. When the flashes of light lit the air, his grip only tightened, but his eyes closed, and when he next opened his eyes, he found that he couldn't see a thing. Not only that, but being so close to the flames of Batsu's wings was starting to get difficult. While his jacket protected most of his skin, his face and neck were fully exposed to the scorching heat of it.

He didn't like this. The ice chakra did not like this, not one bit. Batsu was way out of control. Boreas sped up the process and his ice started up Batsu's legs. He wouldn't stop until the guy was frozen over, something he'd never thought he'd have to do to a friend. Obviously it would be hard, because of the flames around the guy. When the flashes of light came, Boreas broke away from the ice on the ground that had been making its way up Batsu's body, and tried to shield himself, even though the flashes had already passed. When he looked down at his hands, the orange spheres that were his eyes seemed to widen. Water was dripping from them. He'd started melting because of that attack. It was only the surface layer of ice that was melting out of many layers, but that didn't make it any less painful. Before he did anything else, the ice spirit focused on re-freezing himself.

Batsu didn't quite anticipate for Cross to continue pulling madness from him in such a way, so he retaliated in such a manner that Batsu's remaining conscious hesitate for just a brief moment. Letting go of the winged male's jacket, Batsu aimed his hand at the chest of Cross. He'd rip his heart out if he had to. But Batsu was still in there somewhere. Instead of aiming for the heart his hand balled up into a fist and redirected it's aim for the stomach. As for Boreas, Batsu moved away from Cross and approached the ice chakra. "You're next."

With Cross's vision still mostly gone due to the flashes, the black winged male couldn't see where Batsu was about to strike, but only knew that the guy had let go of his jacket. So when he ended up punched in the stomach, Cross doubled over, his grip on Batsu's wrist loosening enough for the guy to pull away. Despite his vision being gone, somehow Cross could still see that there was blackness swirling around him. There was less of it around Batsu than there had been before, which relieved the raven haired male, if only a little. As his sight blurred and started becoming a bit clearer, Cross slowly pushed himself to his feet, trying to focus his sight on where Batsu had gone. There was a large area of blackness not too far from him, but it was too large to be able to see exactly where he was.

Boreas was hurrying to freeze himself over, but he had to stop when he saw Batsu hit Cross down and then start towards him. It was probably no use talking with the guy, but he was willing to try it before getting into a fight with him. "Batsu, come on man, we can get you to Silence. I don't want to fight you." It wasn't because he knew he wouldn't win, because he was sure he had a fair chance, despite his disadvantage elementally. It was because he really didn't want to hurt the guy, and he was afraid that was the only way to stop him.

Batsu was starting to feel worse and worse. The winged male stopped when Boreas spoke to him, but it wasn't because the guy was speaking, it was because Batsu felt like his insides were being dipped in acid. He dropped to his knees and looked up at the sky. The black tears ran heavily down his cheeks. Batsu placed his hand on his chest. "I can't....I can't survive like this...I want the pain to end...it has to end." The red haired male started pulling on his own soul. "I don't wanna hurt anyone anymore." The more he pulled the more the tears flowed until madness took back over and fire came from the ground, forming fire twisters.

Boreas didn't know if it was his words that had gotten to the guy or not, but the moment fire twisters started coming from the ground, he shot ice at them. It would be way too dangerous to go near Batsu with those things around. If his ice melted into water while getting close to the fire, it would be all the better. In fact, that's what he wanted to happen. But then he saw that...well, he wasn't sure what Batsu was doing, but whatever it was was enough to make Cross panic a bit, or at least move faster.

Once his sight was regained, the raven haired male spotted Batsu, and he knew immediately what the guy was doing. He didn't know how he knew, but he just knew. While Batsu was pulling out his own soul, Cross felt a strange pull on his own, and he wondered if Boreas felt it too. Disregarding the fire, Cross moved quickly over to the red haired male, trying cover his wings in the white energy he normally used in order to push any fire aside. Quickly dropping to Batsu's side, he grabbed one of the guy's arms and put his other hand onto Batsu's back, pulling out the Madness as fast as he could manage to, shutting his eyes tightly as he forced his body to consume the Madness that was entering it. "Batsu, let me take it. The pain will end if you just let me take it," he insisted. He was going to pull the Madness out anyways, but it would be so much easier if the guy didn't struggle against him. "F-fight it, just for a few minutes..."

Batsu looked to Cross, eyes blank as the other male spoke to him. "Alice," Batsu said quietly. "You have Alice." Batsu was starting to think a bit more rationally, but at the same time everything was swarming through his head. He could hear souls from every which direction calling out to him, he could feel the madness flowing through his body, he could feel the madness flowing through Cross and the longing to fade coming from his soul. The red haired male leaned against Cross. "If you lose yourself, you lose everything, including Alice," Batsu spoke. His eyes had closed and he wasn't resisting anymore, although the flames were still burning and the twisters were still raging around him. Inside him the Madness was raging like the twisters. It was telling him to fight, but Batsu didn't want to fight anymore. He didn't want to hurt his friends. "I just wanted a reason to live," he mumbled. "Like every creature that exists. But souls were the only way to keep the pain away. Maybe they can take it away again and that way no one has to hold the madness. No one but me." Batsu opened his eyes and moved away from the other winged male. He stood up and then backed away slowly, forcing the twisters to stop as well as the flames on his wings. "I asked for this. I deserve this. You all shouldn't have to suffer because of me. You sho-" Batsu was cut off as the madness began to take over again. This was just one fight he couldn't win. Batsu didn't want to lose control like this. He was going to have to stay in control long enough to rip his own soul out. As long as I got to save one soul, that should be enough. Forming a wall of fire between him, Cross, and Boreas he started to take his soul out once more.

Silence could do nothing more for this girl. She had Madness attacked to her soul and he didn't have the power to change that. Only death and Oblivion could do that. Leaving the woman alone he went to the gates and watched the battle occurring outside. Beside him had been Hunter and DK, but when a fire wall formed between Batsu and their allies, both exited the gates. "Batsu," DK called. "What are you doing, stop this! You're supposed to lead us! Please, let them help you!" Hunter looked past the wall, his eyes narrowed against the flames. "Is he...killing himself?" He glanced towards the gates where the woman was. This was all her fault. Batsu was so dedicated to protecting the souls infected with Madness that he wouldn't give up on her and now look what had happened.

"I know," he growled. He knew he had Alice. But...but leaving Batsu like this would be wrong. And he wanted to be more human, even if it was only for Alice. Maybe it was for himself too. He didn't know, and he didn't care. Batsu mattered to Alice, and he mattered to Cross. If Cross couldn't save him...it would be like hurting Alice. And if he couldn't protect her...really, what reason did he have to exist? When Batsu leaned against him, Cross continued pulling on the Madness, his own breaths becoming labored from the effort it was starting to take to keep his thoughts straight. "I won't lose myself," he promised quietly. Honestly, he didn't know if he would or not. It was becoming harder and harder not to with each passing minute. He was at least glad that Batsu had stopped fighting him. "You don't have to be the one to take all of this burden," he insisted. He'd said it before, but for some reason Batsu refused to believe him. The guy just wanted a reason to exist, and Cross couldn't give him one. Because he himself only had one reason to live. Without her, he wouldn't have a purpose either. He didn't know what to tell Batsu. When the guy got up and backed away from him, Cross stood up to follow, but then there was a wall of fire between them. He didn't know what to do anymore. He knew what Batsu was doing, but he could no longer get to him.

Boreas tried to keep the twisters at bay, thankful that they'd stopped when they had. His gaze turned immediately to the wall of fire surrounding Batsu once it formed, glancing back to DK and Hunter, and then turning his gaze to Cross. The guy was just standing there. Every one was just standing around doing nothing! Why wasn't anybody moving? Giving a low growl, Boreas turned into a smaller version of his largest form, which looked much like a bulky wolf made of ice with spikes around its head like a small mane. Crouching low, Boreas ran towards the wall of fire, intent on going right through it to pin Batsu to the ground. He wasn't going to let the guy destroy himself. He wouldn't! As soon as Boreas had made contact with Batsu, he started pulling on the Madness, staying in his wolf form, even though water was steady streaming and dripping from his body due to the fire around them. He couldn't talk in this form, but his growling was enough to communicate that he was telling Batsu to cut it the hell out.

What more could they do than to stand and watch as their friend chose to give up his life in order to keep from hurting them. What more could they do than to hope that one of the others would choose to make a move. DK didn't want to watch anymore. He didn't want to see a friend die today or any other day. He wanted to run to Batsu and make him listen, but he was too scared. Too paralyzed with fear and confusion to do more than just be a bystander. When Boreas took action the purple haired child looked a bit worried. Boreas was made of ice and Batsu was fire. This would not work out well. A few feet away from him Hunter was there too, watching as everything seemed to happen in a blur.

Pulling one's soul out was possibly the worst pain one could imagine. It was like ripping yourself apart with nothing more than your bare hands. When Cross spoke Batsu simply shook his head. He couldn't make Cross understand that this burden was his alone to carry. He'd caused a great deal of damage under the influence of madness, so it was his job to save others from the same fate. He'd just about pulled his soul from his body when something smashed into him. The winged male hit the ground and was momentarily stunned. He blinked when he saw Boreas. "Won't you just give up," he asked his friend. "Won't you just go back to your fairy?" The fire wall had disappeared, but it didn't keep Batsu from trying to push the other male off of him. Red eyes narrowed he fought relentlessly to remove the other being from him. Why wouldn't they just leave him be? Flapping his wings he tried to push himself up. He wouldn't be stopped so easily.

Boreas only growled angrily in response to Batsu's questioning. He'd go back to Fara after he saved his other friend from this Madness! He wouldn't just stand by and watch as Batsu got consumed and killed himself. He kept pulling the blackness from his red haired friend, and though the wall of fire had disappeared, he was still steadily melting, in some places more than others. Even when Batsu struggled to get up, the ice chakra just tried harder to keep him down.

Cross, on the other hand, was struggling to keep his head. He'd absorbed a lot of Madness from Cross, but nothing about him had started physically changing yet. Well, nothing but his teeth, which had started becoming sharper. Boreas seemed to have Batsu pinned down, and even though he wanted to let the orange eyed creature handle it, Cross knew it would be easier if he tried to help again. So he started forward, moving to help hold the thrashing man down, and withdraw some madness while he was at it.

The orange-red haired girl stood next to Silence, watching the scene unfolding. She understood very little of what was going on. The man who had saved her was fighting against other people. Her thoughts were still scattered, as there was still Madness running through her veins. She glanced at the taller being next to her. At first she'd been terrified when he'd come over to her, thinking he would try to end her life. But he hadn't. She really didn't know what these people had tried to do to her. Before she hadn't been in control of her own actions and all she wanted was to kill and eat and destroy, and she'd always been angry and on the move. But now she was calmer, and didn't feel the need to keep moving. Her thoughts were calmer, although there was still a part of her that wanted to run and go back to constantly moving around. She looked back to the fight without a word. Not because she had nothing to say on it, but because she knew very few words. Her time on this planet had consisted of hearing begging and screaming. So she only really knew words like 'stop,' 'please,' or 'don't kill me'. Every now and then she had heard people asking 'why' or telling other littler people that it would 'be okay'. Other than that, she had only ever heard glimpses of conversations before the screaming started. When the red haired man started fighting and struggling against a bluish-white animal, she looked to Silence. "Why?" She didn't know how else to ask. She didn't know the words for her question, but she wanted to know why they were all fighting, when before they'd all been fighting against her. Did they need to fight? Or was something wrong with them all?

DK shook his head. He wouldn't continue to stand by and do nothing. He started towards the others and held down one of Batsu's arms. "We're supposed to fight madness together, not fight each other. Please, let them lohelp you!" His purple eyes were glossy with tears. It wasn't fair for them to have to fight each other. Taking the same route as DK Hunter went to help hold down Batsu. "Come on Batsu, let us help you. We're friends, not enemy."

Silence looked at the orange-red haired girl. When she asked why he spoke gently. "The man with red hair had an obligation to save you. You were consumed in darkness, and he took it away from you. Because of this he has lost himself in madness." Black eyed were unblinking. "He would have given his life for you and yet he knows nothing about you." He looked to the woman. "Do you not think it appropriate to give back to him. To save the one who saved you?" Silence was quite for a moment. "His friends are fighting to save him, won't you help them? Won't you give him a reason to live?"

Batsu was fighting like there was no tomorrow. The winged male was in so much pain that it was hard to be still. Despite his friends effort to help him he wouldn't allow it. He could feel the madness being taken from him, but at the same time he'd consumed enough to keep resisting. "Let me go," the red haired male growled. He set his wings ablaze going that would back off, but they wouldn't. Even DK remained in place. It seemed no one was willing to let him go like this.

The blue eyed girl looked up at Silence as he explained, then to the battle. Even though she could understand what he was saying, she couldn't respond in kind. She tried to remember his words and how they sounded, so she could say them for herself, but she was more interested in the fight and why they were all fighting each other. Looking up to Silence one more time, the girl blinked before slowly walking out of the Unknown and towards the fight. The red haired one had set himself on fire once more. Each step she took towards them seemed uncertain, as if she were wondering if she should really interfere. She stopped next to the raven haired male, very close to all that was going on, and looked down at the one who'd saved her. He was in pain, she thought. She was quite for a moment before speaking, trying to form her words and remember the ones that Silence had told her. "Please...stop f-fight friends..." she spoke, looking at Batsu. She didn't know his name, so she couldn't call him directly. "F-friends help...friends...make pain go away," she said uncertainly. She didn't know if she was speaking right. She'd heard all those things before from other people, but could only guess at what they meant. Even as she spoke, all his friends were still holding him down, despite the fire, and they were still pulling the Madness from him. Boreas didn't look at her, and Cross only briefly did, but quickly turned his attention back to Batsu for fear that he might try to push him away while he wasn't looking.
