Last Night of Freedom Empty Last Night of Freedom

Kinaga had messaged Marius around the time they'd been supposed to leave the school, telling him he'd meet him at the bar, and asking which one the guy wanted to go to. He'd wanted to pick out one that Marius and Tobias used to frequent, but then he figured...probably just gonna make things worse. So he'd let Marius decide. Besides, Kinaga still had to change. He really didn't want to leave the school in casual clothes and risk any of the kids seeing him. He'd just meet Marius there. Once the pink haired male specified the bar, Kinaga started there a bit early. Might as well get a bit of a head start. Actually, if he was being honest...he kinda needed a drink. Or...something. He hadn't really been able to focus on his research. His mind kept drifting to the things Marius had said. To what his definition of a lover had been. A person you could come home to every day and know that you're loved no matter what. A person who meant the world to you and who would fight with you against the world if it came down to it. Kinaga sighed and put his hands in his pockets as he walked. Marius had told him not to look like a teacher, and he was pretty capable of doing so. He just preferred semi-formal dress. Right now he was wearing a pair of black jeans and a sleeveless white shirt with a dark jacket over it, a gold chain hanging loosely around his neck. It really wasn't anything fancy, but it wasn't like he was the one trying to pick someone up at the bar, either. Tonight was about getting Marius back on his feet. The guy didn't have to worry about him. Maybe part of the real reason Kinaga wanted to get a few in before Marius showed up was so that he was loose enough to casually joke about things like dating again. Once Kinaga got to the bar, he sat right at the bartop, hanging his jacket over the back of the chair. After getting comfortable, he ordered a shot and then a beer immediately afterwards. Might as well start off while he was waiting for Marius. Before he knew it, he'd already gone through his first beer and was halfway through his second, the side of his face resting on his palm as he looked up at the TV screen behind the bar which was airing a soccer game. He hoped Marius would get there soon. He was feeling more depressed than when he'd first arrived here.

Marius had gone home to search his closets instead of waiting idly for Kinaga to call or text him. Besides, his best clothes were at his house and he didn't live too far away. He had even walked instead of taking a bus. The pink haired male was dressed in a sparkling blue shirt and and black skinny jeans. His hair was neat as usual and he was looking pretty excited. He arrived at the bar on time, only to wait a few moments thinking that his buddy hadn't arrived. He eventually went in to find Kinny drinking. "You ass, you're supposed to wait," he teased as he sat down next to his friend. "Ready to have a good time?"

Kinaga turned his head slightly and gave a sly, amused smile when Marius called him an ass. "Sorry. You were just taking so long to get here," he joked, straightening up so he didn't look like he'd been a slumping depressed mess. "I guess," he chuckled lightly in response. "Ya look good," he noted casually, taking a drink from his glass. Though Marius had this unbelievable gift of pulling off a style no matter how strange or awkward it would have looked on anyone else. If Kinaga tried the style that Marius was wearing right now he'd probably get mistaken for a male stripper, somehow. The blue haired male nearly shuddered at the thought. Nope, he wasn't going to hop onto that thought train.

Marius looked himself over when Kinaga said he looked good. "Really? Thanks. I was beginning to think it was too much." He looked around the bar. "He's cute...so is he...oh, him too..." He was more or less mumbling to himself instead of actually having a conversation. When one of the males looked in his direction, Marius instantly turned away, his cheeks flushing. "Um, I need a drink, two actually. Let me get beer and a martini." He shrunk down in his seat. "This would be so much easier if we hadn't blabbed away in the lounge this morning," he said with a laugh. "Guess that's okay though, there's a million other things to discuss that I can't currently think of at this very moment."

"Mmhm," Kinaga said casually, drinking from his beer. He chuckled lightly when Marius started looking around and naming off which guys in the bar were cute. "Two to start? Nervous about this, are we?" the blue haired male teased. He just hoped the bartender didn't open his mouth about how he'd started off with two as well. "Look Mar, get a few drinks and you and I'm sure you'll be spewing conversation topics in no time," he snickered, patting Marius on the shoulder. "Hey, don't worry about it man. You look good. If you're lucky, someone will come up and be talking to ya in no time," he assured. Though he knew they were here to 'celebrate' and not to pick up people to take home, it was a decent conversation topic to start on. Even if it created a small debate between the two of them, at least it would get them talking.

"Nervous? Of course not. Just who do you think I am? I mean, I can easily walk over and have a conversation if I wanted to, I just don't believe in going over to someone. I don't chase men, I have far more dignity than that." Marius was a perfect mix of masculinity and feminism all in one. "Plus you already got started without me. I'm simply catching up. Order yourself another so we can be even. Although, I'm sure I handle my alcohol a lot better than you, so if I double up, we're practically equal anyhow." He raised his glass. "To being best friends."

Kinaga snickered at Marius' words. "Oh you could, huh? I'm not sure I believe that," he shrugged. "Not when you're blushing like that after just catching a glance from one." Oh yes, he'd caught that, alright. "Pft. I can handle liquor just as well as you can. In fact. Hey buddy," Kinaga said, giving the bartender a small wave. "Gimme a double, kay?" The bartender raised an eyebrow. "Same shot as before?" At that, Kinaga froze. "Er. Before? Not sure what you're talking about," he said, glancing off to the side. Busted. That was the only word that ran through his mind. "Uh-huh. Same it is," the bartender said simply, placing a double-size shot glass in front of Kinaga. The blue haired male cleared his throat and looked awkwardly off to the side. Whelp fuck. In order to try to recover some of his lost dignity, Kinaga raised what was left of the beer in his glass and echoed Marius' toast before downing the rest of it. Might as well, before Marius tried to take it away from him. Which he highly doubted the guy would actually do.

Marius nodded. "Mmhm, I could, but we're hanging out tonight. I'd hate to pick some hot guy up and have to leave you all by you're lonesome," he said with a smile. "Hmm, you had a double shot?! Geez, slow down before you end up passed out in a ditch or something." He shook his head. "Can't believe you, pretending like you only had a beer. Teachers aren't supposed to lie, which reminds me, you look nice too." He had casually ignored the comment about his blushing. So what, maybe he was a bit nervous. He'd been out of the game for so long he was afraid he'd forgotten how to play. Stupid Tobias for wasting his time. He looked over his shoulder to the guy who's eye he'd caught earlier. Marius washed down the heartache with alcohol when he saw the guy taking with some other guy. Yeah, he was going to just drink away all the horrible reminders that Tobias didn't really love him. Maybe at some point he had, but Marius didn't think love was supposed to end so abruptly. "You know, we should go play some pool while we're here. Gives us something to do you know.

Kinaga gave a light laugh when Marius said he'd hate to leave him there all by his lonesome. "Nah, it'd be fiinee. Me and buddy here would just chat. Right pal?" "Nope." Kinaga blinked. "Pff. Some help you are," the blue haired male huffed, earning a light snort of amusement from the bald bartender behind the counter. "I didn't have a double shot before, it was a single, I swear." "Liar." "Will you butt out if you're not gonna help?" The bartender laughed and earned a small, unavoidable chuckle from Kinaga. He couldn't help if he liked making people laugh, even unintentionally. "Look, I can hold my liquor just fine, alright?" Kinaga said light-heartedly, downing the alcohol like it was nothing. He blinked though, when Marius said he looked nice, grinning lightly. "Yeah? Not too teacherly, right?" he teased. "And I never said I only had one beer, you just assumed. Which reminds me, I'll take another one," he said casually to the bartender, who just shrugged and refilled the empty glass. "Pool sounds fun. I'm not that good though," Kinaga said with a light chuckle. That was a whole lot of bull shit, actually. Kinaga had to be good at pool to get in with different types of crowds, as he'd found out ages ago. He'd had a pool table put into his basement so that him and Shisu could play every now and then. She'd ended up teaching him how to play instead of the other way around. Shisu had definitely been his better half. She'd been better than him at just about everything, pool included. Once the bartender brought the new glass over, Kinaga got up and waved Marius to come along after grabbing his jacket and casually swinging it over his shoulder before walking over to find an empty pool table.

Marius snickered when the bartender shot Kinny down. Honestly it was fun watching the conversation between the two of them. Marius knew the bartender quite well, considering bars were like his thing and this place was one of his favorites. The pink haired male finished one of his drinks before he got up to join Kinaga at the pool table."I'm no good at it either," Marius admitted, stirring his martini casually. "I just like having fun." He set his drink on the table and surveyed the pool sticks for something he could use. "And no, you're not too teacher-like." He smirked. "That would be painful to put up with." He leaned against the table and pointed at the balls that were scattered on the table. "Set it up big shot," he mused.

Kinaga set his glass down on the table nearest to the empty pool table, as well as his jacket. It was too warm in the bar to wear it. He'd only brought it along because it was chilly outside. Or rather, it would probably get chilly later. Kinaga had a lot of foresight when it came to silly things like that. He glanced over the pool sticks and found one in a few seconds, propping it up against the pool table as he went over to rack up the pool balls. "Alrighty," he said casually. "I hope you know that means you're breaking," he said after they were all set up. He took a step back with his pool stick and leaned against the wall. "All yours."

Marius was really happy that Kinaga had agreed to come with him to the bar. It was always nice to be with friends. Back home he'd had a nice loft and would invite everyone over for drinks and movies and lots of food. His place used to be the spot for kickbacks and fun. His doors had always been open for someone to crash if they were feeling shitty and needed an escape or just a break from life. Marius didn't really have that here. He'd been so engulfed with Tobias, that he hadn't really established his circle of friends, just...Kinaga and a few co-workers and bartenders. He didn't talk to any of Tobias friends anymore, he didn't want to accidentally run into the guy or something like that. He positioned himself to break when he was given the go ahead. "Great." He hit the ball and watched them roll across the table, scattering until a single solid ball rolled into the slot. "Mhmm, my favorite." He smirked lightly.

Kinaga watched Marius shoot, leaning against the wall. "You know, even if I was still dressed like a teacher, it wouldn't be that bad," he commented lightly, "I think I pull it off pretty good." He was so used to wearing glasses that Kinaga raised his hand to adjust glasses that weren't there before dropping them. He had to get used to wearing contacts again. He tilted his head when the pink haired male scattered the pool balls across the table. If Marius kept positioning himself like that while he shot, it would probably only be a couple minutes until someone came over and talked to him. Kinaga was fairly certain that Marius didn't even know he was standing like that. "Favorite? Solids are your favorite?" Kinaga asked with a snirk. "I personally like stripes. They got a lot of personality," he joked, walking over to the pool table after eying it for a moment. The blue haired male walked over to take the shot, taking just a moment to line everything up before hitting the cue ball, sending two striped balls into separate holes on the table. "Your turn," Kinaga said casually, walking over to take a drink of his beer as if nothing at all had happened.

"I think it'd be horrid. People would avoid us like the plague. I mean seriously, who would think teachers are fun?" Marius snickered lightly and then moved away from the table, watching Kinaga prepare to shoot. "Mmhm, solid is nice," he mused. "Personality is nice too I suppose." He stuck out his tongue and then licked his lips. "You're so tempting," he purred. His flirting faded when the other male shot. "I thought you said you weren't any good," he protested as he made his shot, missing in the process. "Hmph..."

"I don't know what you're talking about Marius. I'm probably the hottest teacher at the school, people would flock," Kinaga snickered, before outright laughing. "Dear god, I can not keep up that farce." He really couldn't. It just didn't sit right with him. "But seriously, I'm one of the funnest teachers there, I have no idea where you'd get the idea that people would think I'm boring." Kinaga couldn't help but give a little grin. "Personality is a wonderful thing to have. Otherwise me and you might not have become best friends," the blue haired male chuckled. He ignored Marius' comment about him being tempting. He didn't quite know how to respond to the guy's teasing sometimes, so in those instances he just pretended that he hadn't heard it. "I'm not any good. At least, not compared to professionals," Kinaga snickered. "Aren't you glad we didn't make any bets on this?" He could be a bit of an ass when he wanted to be. When Marius missed his shot, Kinaga took a drink of his beer and looked over the table casually again. He then glanced to the glass in his hand. When had he managed to drink half of it? Maybe he needed to slow down a bit. Walking over to the table, Kinaga bent over to line up the shot again, but took a minute to look over the table again. No, this shot was fine. After a moment, the blue haired male took the shot, getting one ball in this time. "If you want, I'll take it easy on you," he said lightly, leaning back against the pool table and looking at Marius with an innocent smile.

"I never said you were boring. I don't befriend boring people. It's others who don't know and trust me Kinaga I'm well aware of how hot you are," he replied, giving him the once over. "You see, if you weren't always playing hard to get, I'd show you the time of your life," he mused. "I'd make your wildest dreams come true and you'd keep coming back for more." He batted his lashes. Marius then waltzed over to his glass and took a small sip, enjoying the view. "No need to take it easy on me," Marius promised, stirring his drink with his finger. "It would spoil the fun." He winked at Kinaga and then sipped a bit more on his drink.

"Oh, but you were implying it. How hurtful can you be Marius," Kinaga said with an innocent frown cast in the pink haired male's direction. He took note of the fact that Marius eyed him up at the comment concerning his looks. Yes, Kinaga knew he had above average looks, but he tried his hardest not to flaunt it. Looks really didn't matter to him. He had no one to impress with them. It was really a waste of time if anyone asked him, but he tried to keep up appearances just because his job required him to be presentable. He wasn't like Marius who knew he was hot and took full advantage of the fact. "But Marius, someone has to play hard to get when it comes to you," Kinaga protested, "if nobody did, you'd get too cocky." Too late for that one. Once again, Kinaga took the path of appearing completely impervious to Marius' constant flirting. Not to say it didn't occasionally get to him. Like now, for instance. Maybe he needed a few more drinks after all. Or a few less. Normally he was perfectly fine with being actually impervious to the teasing. "Maybe you could do that for other people, buuuttt..." Kinaga said with a casual exasperation that was clearly meant to mock Marius' teasing ways. To be honest, Kinaga didn't doubt that Marius was skilled when it came to things like that. Marius had mentioned before how often he used to mess around back in his hometown. "If you keep staring at my ass like that though, guys might think something's up and be too intimidated to come over to talk to you," the blue haired male teased with a shine in his eye. He downed the rest of his drink and then tipped the glass towards Marius before walking away, saying "I'll be right back. Don't cheat while I'm gone~."

"Oh Kinny, you know I'd never intentionally hurt you," he said with feigned despair. Cocky? "I don't get cocky. I can't help that I'm the hottest thing around these parts with skills to back it up. I mean, if there is anyone to fault, it's my mother for giving birth to a such a man." He flashed an award winning smirk. He then blinked when Kinny trailed off with a but.... Marius huffed and walked over to his friend, prepared to tease him a bit, but the guy started to walk off. Marius sighed. "I'm not here for a guy, especially when I have one right here, but I suppose it would be wild to have to people fight over me," he said in a dreamy voice. He then took a shot, putting one ball in the hole. He took a long drink of his martini and then looked down at the table. "I am so not cocky..."

Kinny kept himself from saying 'wouldn't you', knowing that Marius would definitely take that in a sexual way, and he wasn't really prepared for Marius to tease him like that. "You definitely are," Kinaga called back as he walked over to the bar. As Marius took his shot at the pool table, Kinaga took one of his own at the bar before ordering another beer. So what if he wanted to get a bit drunk today? It was his last night to actually do so. Well technically, yesterday had been his last night to do so. Tonight he was just being irresponsible. But that was fine, he could work it out. Walking back over to Marius, Kinaga heard what he said and grinned, wrapping his arm casually over his friend's shoulder. "But man. You totally are though."

Marius took advantage and snuggled against Kinaga as the other wrapped an arm around him. "Mmmm, you're so warm and you smell nice," he mused with delight. He turned and wrapped his arms around Kinaga's waist before the other could escape him. He looked up at the blue eyed male and smiled. "Maybe you should teach me some humility," he purred. He batted his lashes. Marius didn't need to be drunk to be a flirt. He was very much sober, but how could he possibly turn down such an opportunity that had practically jumped into his hands. He pressed himself against Kinaga. "And warm...." There was a hint of devious intent in his eyes. Marius had a million possibilities going through his mind, all of which lead to one ending. The just thought was starting to get him worked up. God, he really shouldn't torture himself in such a way. Oh well, he was having fun regardless.

Kinaga blinked when Marius snuggled up against him. He should have seen that coming. Instead of reacting awkwardly, Kinaga let the other male relax against him, remaining completely chill when Marius turned and wrapped his arms around his waist. In fact, he had a small little smirk on his face as if saying that he had completely expected Marius to do such a thing. "Teach you? Humility? That's some task you're setting me up for," he said casually. Marius had such entrancing blue eyes once Kinaga actually took a second to look at them. If Kinaga had had any less to drink, he probably would have been nervous about this whole thing. Instead he just let Marius lean against him. "It's not really all that cold in here," he teased before patting Marius on the head with his free hand. "But you can stay there if you like." Once again completely oblivious to the flirting. Sort of.

Ocean blue eyes shone bright as Kinaga continued to grace him with such calmness. He snuggled closer, resting his head against the other's chest. "You seem like the kind of guy who loves a good challenge. I'm sure we'd both enjoy it." Marius was feeling pretty lucky right now. He always fantasized about the endless possibilities of having one night with Kinaga Unabara. The guy had been such eye candy when Marius had first started, now he was the greatest temptation,a prize to be won. "Does this mean you're done giving me a hard time,"he asked. He wondered what Kinaga was thinking. He'd always been curious as to what others thought, specially what their thoughts were on him. He was far from paranoid, and he wasn't a narcissist, just confident and proud of his looks. The thing was, Marius didn't exactly have boundaries, so knowing someone's limit was a nice way to avoid injuring his face or any other delicate features on his body.

As Marius snuggled closer, Kinaga felt his heart start racing faster. It had been a long time since he'd had someone this close to him. He raised an eyebrow when Marius said that he seemed like the type of guy who enjoyed a challenge. It wasn't entirely untrue, actually. "For someone like you, my style of teaching would probably be extremely boring," the blue haired male chuckled. He was definitely talking about the same thing Marius was, too, and that was the sad part. "Hm? Done giving you..? Oh god no, I'm still going to give you a hard time about it," Kinaga said, grinning suddenly. He leaned a bit closer to the pink haired male's face. "Ever stop to think that right now you're not the one teasing me?" Facade failed. Kinaga kinda felt bad for leading Marius on by not pushing him away, but hey, Marius had started it. Even so, Kinaga's heart was still racing from having Marius pressing up against him and being so close to him. He couldn't help it if the guy made him nervous every once in a while.

Marius was tickled by Kinaga's words. He ended up sighing after a moment when the other said he was the one being teased and not the other way around. "I figured as much," he said with a light smile before he lifted up on his tippy toes and kissed Kinaga's cheek. "Thanks anyway," he said, stepping back from the taller male and pointing at the table. "Your shot." Marius was okay with how things were going. He wasn't quite ready for a relationship right now either, but he didn't want to sit around and idly watch the world and the many opportunities it had to offer, pass him by. He finished off his drink. "I'm going to get something else to drink." He stuck his tongue out at Kinaga and headed for the bar. "Something sweet, please and thank you." He leaned against the counter and sighed. "So...has Tobias come in here?" He really just wanted to know if the guy frequented the places they used to hang out at, or if he had found someone else. He really just needed a push to move on.

Last Night of Freedom Empty Re: Last Night of Freedom

Kinaga felt a bit bad when he saw Marius sigh like that, and the words that followed. He shouldn't have done that to Marius, that had been cruel. The guy needed someone right now, but Kinaga wasn't sure he could be there for Marius in that kind of way. He'd kissed another male in his younger years, but it had never gone any further than that, so he had absolutely no experience in that area. Blue eyes blinked when Marius kissed him on the cheek before he gave a light smile. "Sorry pal." Yeah, he felt like an ass now. Kinaga waited for Marius to walk away before sighing. He took his shot and sat down at the table next to the pool table and waited, sipping on his beer casually.

The bartender nodded at Marius' request and got started, pausing when the guy asked about Tobias. "Nah. Haven't seen him around lately. You two don't keep in touch at all?" the guy asked curiously. Now, he didn't know that blue haired guy all that well. He'd seen him in here on one or two occasions before, but only with Marius and Tobias, and some blond haired chick. That had been ages ago. He was fine talking with Marius seriously, but he generally joked around with customers that he didn't know all that well. Like that blue haired joker Marius was hanging out with now.
