"But you laid yourself so nicely across the bench, so I couldn't help but to mistake you for a cushion. Not to mention you're sooo comfy," she teased with a smile. She wanted to see if he really would knock her off his legs. She giggled lightly as he started swearing he would push her off, then leaned towards him tauntingly. "Oh yeah? Prove it." She couldn't help but to test his limits, to see how far he would go. She was actually fairly curious.

Felix turned his head in the opposite direction when she leaned towards him. "If I were to prove it, I won't be supplying you with something soft to land on this time. I'm however not that mean of a person, despite popular belief." Felix grinned. "But if you keep asking, I might just go through with my little threat. " Felix glanced at her from the corner of his eye. He suddenly found himself wondering why he hadn't noticed that her eyes were hazel until now. Drawing his gaze away, he starred at the side of the bench.

Suki smiled when he turned his head away, holding back a small laugh. She knew it wasn't the time, but she couldn't help but think how cute he was being about this whole thing. "But if you're not that mean a person, then that means you wouldn't push me off, right?" she asked him with a sweet little smile. "I stick to what I said before. Prove. It," she taunted in amusement.

Felix's brow raised at Suki's taunting. What happened to the shy little girl that had hid behind Tara when he'd first walked into the tent with Serenity. What happened to the little girl who'd asked if she was bothering him in the woods ten years ago. This Suki was lively and evil in every way shape and form. Felix wondered if he should throw her off just to see her reaction. It would be so evil on his part, but hey...it would be worth it. Of course he'd catch her in another jutsu, but she'd never expect it. "Up you go," Felix said as though he were going to throw her off, but he didn't even move. He waited for her to relax a bit before actually tossing her off. Catching her of course on another jutsu. "Did you have a nice fall this time?"

Suki blinked, her eyes widening a bit when he acted like he was gonna throw her off. She hadn't been expecting that, honestly. Though when she realized he wasn't going to, she gave him a light, playful glare, only to be surprised when he actually did toss her off. "Hmph. And here I thought you said you weren't going to soften my fall," she said, turning her head to look at him. Giving a light shrug, Suki leaned back against the bench, and stayed seated on the ground. "Aren't you just the gentleman, taking up the whole bench while a girl sits on the ground," she said sarcastically, and though she was now looking away from Felix, she had a small grin on her face.

"A gentleman I am indeed," Felix said with a nod. "I pride myself on being one of the few." He glanced down at her. "As for that fall, I didn't soften it, I merely stopped it is all. It could have been so brutal to see you all bruised. I prefer the color pink on you, not red." Felix carefully sat upright. Time had passed by rather quickly. He knew he should be getting her home, for Tara was probably dying from worry if she wasn't still talking to Serenity. Felix picked up the last dango stick and pulled one off. The others he handed to Suki. "For you, madam."

Suki only rolled her eyes as Felix spoke. He acted so proper and old fashioned sometimes, that it really wasn't all that hard for Suki to understand that he was immortal. And really, it saddened her. Sometimes she thought, would she just be one of the many, like he was one of the few? She smiled at him when he handed her the last three dango, taking them. "Why thank you," she said. She had to push such dreary thoughts from her head. Now wasn't the time for them. Standing up, Suki ate one of the dango, and looked down the street. "And here I thought it couldn't have gotten much darker from the time we'd left," she said, with a smile, looking up at the stars for a brief moment. The sky seemed pitch black now, littered with little glittering fireflies.

(don't be sad Suki)

Felix stood up a second later. "I was just thinking that maybe I should get you back to your hotel," he admitted when she spoke of the dark. "Come one before I have to hear your best friend complaining about how I need to start taking you out at reasonable time, as well as bringing you back," he joked lightly. Felix gave one last glance down the Alley before walking towards Suki hotel.

Suki looked at Felix, smiling when he mentioned Tara. "Yeah, she'll probably be a little worried," she said, picking up the bags that had the mochi she bought in them before following next to Felix. When they got outside of Suki's hotel room, she'd been contemplating an action for several minutes. So much so, that her shy personality began reappearing. Holding her bag in front of her, Suki gave Felix a smile. "Guess this is goodnight." She hesitated a moment before leaning up and giving Felix a light kiss on the cheek. "Thanks...for everything," she said with a small smile, a light coating of blush on her own cheeks.

Whether she'd planned for this reaction or not, Felix stood there with a streak of red across his face when she kissed him on the cheek. Felix would have loved to have returned that kiss, but knew better. Silenced from shock, he slowly found his voice. "Goodnight." Felix had just hit cloud 9 in a single breath taking moment. "No...problem..." Felix waited for her to go into her room before turning away and placing a hand on his cheek. Surely he must be dreaming, for Suki had just kissed him. Felix could not believe this. "Why can't every night be this great," Felix mused as he made his way home, mesmerized by the events of tonight. Opening the door to the apartment, he went into his room and lay in bed for hours without moving, replaying the night over and over again in head until he finally fell asleep.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 4 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Tue Oct 23, 2012 3:12 am

Suki couldn't help but to smile at the blush on his face. She hadn't intended for it, but it at least let her know he felt something for her. Even if she was one of the many, at least he liked her in some way. Smiling at him once more, Suki went into the hotel room to a very worried Tara's talking, to which Suki immediately shot down, saying she was fine, but she was tired and wanted to go to bed. Really she just wanted to think about what had just happened. She felt kinda bad, really. He had Serenity...Serenity was immortal. Suki couldn't match up to that. And on top of that, he had kids on the way. Laying down on her bed, it took a good long while before Suki finally fell asleep.

By the time Felix had gotten home, Kana was fast asleep in her room. For some reason, not too long before Felix had gotten home, a wave of exhaustion had just hit her out of nowhere, and she decided she'd just talk to Felix the next day. In the morning, however, her plans changed. She'd remembered that Felix told her Kyla had been there when she was sick. And Kana wanted to know what happened, and it didn't seem like Felix was willing to give details. So in the morning, before Felix was even up (before the sun was up, actually), Kana had gotten out of the house, and had started out for a jog. She didn't want to wake Kyla up so early, but for whatever reason, the brown haired shinobi felt she had more energy than usual. And when you have energy, what better way to burn it than to train? Of course, it didn't cross Kana's mind that she probably should have left a note for Felix...

Felix slept in because he no longer had to wake up at the break of dawn, thanks to getting on the Kage's good side. However, he was still being escorted around like a prisoner, which was fine by him. Dressing in a long sleeved black shirt and a pair of midnight blue pants, he headed out without much regards as to where Kana was. He figured that she was probably in her room sleep, or out training the ANBU, not waiting to find answers to questions she should just leave alone.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 4 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Tue Oct 23, 2012 10:46 pm

Kana was used to training alone, but after her first lap around the village, one of her ANBU seemed to have had the same idea. Funnily enough, it was Lacie Tentou, the woman they'd practically handpicked to be the next Kage. Kana allowed Lacie to join her, in order to get some work done while training as well. She had to talk to Lacie about some things anyways. After another lap around the village, she took to a bit of hand-to-hand combat with the woman. Yeah, she was as good a fighter as they came.

After another hour or two, Kana told Lacie that she had to go get some things done. It was easily nine o'clock by that time. So she asked Lacie to take over training the ANBU, only for an hour or so, until she got to the training grounds. By this time, it was rather obvious that Kana had been training, but she didn't mind. Bidding a brief farewell to Lacie, Kana headed over to Kyla's house, knocking on the door before wiping her forehead lightly. She felt pretty revved up, and while her arm would've usually been aching a little by this time, she didn't feel a thing.

Post by The Godfather Tue Oct 23, 2012 10:56 pm

Kyla was in her house, dusting off the last of the shelves that had collected dust. Putting the duster away, she started for the kitchen, where she began to make a fresh pot of tea. The windows were open and there were plenty of birds out and about singing. It reminded her of the old days when she used to be happy before she started to fade into nothingness. The old immortal sighed and poured herself some tea. When a knock sounded on her door, she slowly walked over and opened it. "Hello deary, come on in. What can I do for you?"

Kana gave the old woman a small smile and a "Hello" as she opened the door. Walking in, she closed the door behind her and took a breath before speaking again. "I want to know what happened when I got sick the other day. Felix said you were there, and he's not giving me any details about what happened. I know our chakra fused, but that doesn't have anything to do with what happened yesterday," she said, shaking her head lightly.

Kyla gave a small smile as she took a seat on her normal chair. "Felix gave you enough information," she said. "For that is all that happened." She leaned forward. "What happened yesterday," she inquired lightly. "Remember dear child, all things secret are not bad." It was no riddle, just a light warning to make Kana think about if she really wanted the answer. So many people wanted answers to everything, but those answers had only hurt them more. She smiled to herself. She had all the answers she needed, so she never cared to know more than her own fair share. If only people had lived a thousand lifetimes like she had, that way everyone would be mindful of themselves.

Kana looked at Kyla as the woman sat down. She didn't feel like sitting down right now, she was still too pumped from training to sit down. She shook her head. "All he told me was that Kymin had to convince everyone to work together, and that I was sick because of what happened with the Blue Demon. If that was all the information I needed, I wouldn't be here," she said calmly. She paused when Kyla asked about yesterday. "Yesterday morning, someone came into my room and attacked me. I killed him." She paused again. "I don't even know how I did it. I didn't even move," she told Kyla. She still felt ashamed about one thing though. That son of a bitch had overpowered her. While he'd been able to put the weight of his body behind it, Kana still felt she should have been able to push him away. Instead, she had a deep wound in her chest. Yet another reminder of how weak she actually was. How much stronger she could become.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 4 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Wed Oct 24, 2012 11:35 am

Kyla wondered if the girl's persistence was going to cause problems in the future. "That deary was nothing more than a chakra outburst. You see, with the Blue Demon's chakra mixed with your own, it has some control over your chakra since you have no control over it. You should be thankful, or else you would have been fatally wounded, in mortal terms." She gave a small smile. "It's a part of you now, you'll just have to accept that, until we can extract it. I'll be honest, I don't know all the consequences to you having Felix's chakra mixed with your own," she said as she shook her head. "This is only the second time that I have done this. The first person died from overload, you happened to live."

Kana looked at Kyla as she explained that it had simply been a chakra outburst. She paused when the old woman mentioned that the Blue Demon's chakra was mixed with her own. It was only just starting to hit her. As the image of the Blue Demon creeped it's way into her head, Kana felt a cold wave wash over her. That thing was now a part of her? Even if it was a small part...She swallowed. Her hand unconsciously went over the place on her chest where she'd been stabbed when Kyla mentioned she would have been fatally wounded. Hell, it had sure been cut close. Kana then blinked when she was told the first person died from overload. "Is that right..." She looked at the old woman a moment. "Why did you have to fuse their chakra?" Kana didn't mean to seem like she was interrogating the old woman, but it had become part of her nature to ask questions like this. At least, with non-hostiles. What she was really wondering was if the other person had also been immortal. Maybe she could guess at it from Kyla's coming answer.

Yes, this persistent girl was going to be trouble, but Kyla needed her for reasons that could not be voiced. Shaking her head ever so lightly, she answered Kana's questions. "Felix hasn't always been so calm as he is now. He's fairly dangerous, which means he hurts people by accident sometimes. I just have to be the person to clean up the mess, unfortunately, all messes can't be cleaned up." Kyla sipped her tea. "I did my best, but the guy couldn't handle it, so he ended up dying in the end." She shrugged. "It happens. You can't change what can't be undone."

Kana blinked when Kyla explained that Felix wasn't always so calm. Had he once had an angry personality? Kana couldn't quite envision Felix being an angry person like she was. The thought of a short-tempered Felix nearly made her shudder. She wasn't afraid of Felix or anything, but having to deal with him while he had a short temper was not something she would enjoy doing. She looked down. "So I'm not the first person he's hurt like this by accident," she said. She wasn't sure she wanted to know anymore. Whatever had happened, Felix and Kymin had saved her, as had Kyla. She suddenly wanted to run another lap around the village. Shaking her head lightly, the brown haired shinobi looked back at Kyla. "Yeah, things happen," she said with a small shrug. That was probably gonna be her motto from now on. "I'm sorry to cut my visit short, but that was all I really needed...er, wanted to know." Then Kana gave an almost embarrassed smile. "I feel like I'm taking advantage of you, coming to you all the time like this. Sorry," she apologized.

"Not the first and possibly not the last," Kyla said. She'd leave it at that, since Kana had said that she had everything she needed. She smiled when the girl apologized. "You're not taking advantage of me. I enjoy having company every now and then." A pause. "Felix doesn't visit me anymore." The old woman sounded like she a genuinely sad. She stood up and started for the door, opening it. "I'm glad you stopped by, feel free to do so again."

Kana gave a light frown when Kyla told her of how Felix didn't stop by her place anymore. She wondered if it had to do with what had happened those several months ago. "I'll bring it up to him, if you'd like," she offered. She wasn't sure why, but something about this old woman put her at ease. It wasn't often that it happened, but she was getting kind of fond of Kyla. It could've been because she was the one who made her immortal, or it could have been some other reason. She wasn't sure. She followed Kyla to the door as the old woman opened it, but waited for a response.

Kyla gave a tiny smile when Kana offered to bring it up to Felix. "I don't think he'll appreciate my asking of him." Kyla shook her head. "Anyways, you should be on your way, have a good day." Kyla smiled and waved to the girl who'd been ever so kind to her today. "You day will be very bright deary, enjoy it." Kyla, instead of going back inside the house started into her back yard. She had a few things to work on in the back.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 4 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Kana merely tilted her head a bit when Kyla told her Felix wouldn't appreciate it very much. She only gave a shrug. "Okay. And thanks," she said as she started away. For some reason, Kyla's parting words put Kana into a pretty good mood. So much so, that she decided to jog to the training grounds rather than walk. She had to prepare the ninja here for war, even if it was a mock one. It was then she decided she wasn't going to bother Felix with what had happened the day before. If it was a simple chakra outburst, then that was all it was. No need to panic. All she had to do was learn to control her chakra again. Her new chakra, the one with the supposedly untameable beast attached to it. Yeah, this was gonna be a bit of a challenge and she knew it. Just the thought made her smirk. Even if the Blue Demon was untameable, it's chakra was powerful. She knew that from having experienced it shutting down her body when it had bit her.

Getting to the training grounds, Kana took the Jonin and ANBU off Lacie's hands and gave her the day to do whatever. And by whatever, it obviously meant whatever she had to do to get ready for her coming responsibility. Kana, on the other hand, took to training with her ninja, helping whichever ones needed it. About halfway through the training, she stopped training with them, and went over to her bag to pull out a notepad and paper, upon which she started assigning groups. Close-combat, long-ranged, ambush, and medical. Hey, if they were gonna plan a war, she was gonna make sure it was done right.
