Felix looked at Aidelia when she walked in and then to the Kage who said he didn't want to see her. How nice. Now the man wouldn't even speak to his possible adviser. Felix kept from shaking his head in annoyance. He leaned back in his chair and then crossed his arms over his chest. He was going to have to change the pace of things. If only to stop this unnecessary slaughtering of ninja. Even if they weren't really going to war, Aidelia's people were going to get killed in the process, and she may or may not have just manipulated them into believing she was right. He didn't want to see people killed without a trial.

Kana kept trying to find the source of the genjutsu, but it seemed impossible. The chakra wasn't flowing to, or away from anything. Wherever the source was, it wasn't anywhere around her. Or at least, she didn't believe it to be. Not until she saw a head poke from a corner down the street to look at her. That head had virtually the same color chakra as what was floating around the streets. Kana immediately broke forward into a run, for the head had pulled back. "Hey!" she called after it, turning the corner. Unfortunately, what she hadn't realized was that street was the market, and it was late-afternoon. Which meant the street was pretty crowded.

Kana paused and looked down the street, her eyes scanning, scanning, scanning for that color. She hadn't seen the face of the person clearly. Didn't even know if it had been male or female. Her hand clenched into a fist. This was ridiculous. It was clear the person tailing her knew this village. Still, it could have been one of Aidelia's cronies. The brown haired shinobi was well aware that she was getting a few looks from the shoppers, so she turned around and started back to the house. When she got inside, she had to stop herself from punching a hole in the wall. Who the hell was tailing her?!

Felix spent most of his time in the Kage's office, mad as hell that the guy was being a complete idiot. When he was allowed to leave, he went straight to the secretary and motioned for her to follow him. When she came along, he spoke quickly. "Don't get mad, but I told the Kage that you told me about something I wasn't supposed to know. If he questions you, just say I pressured you into it, please?" The woman gave a small smile as blush coated her face. "Sure thing," she said. Felix liked her, she knew how to listen. "And in return for your kind cooperation, how about I treat you to dinner?" Now that Tara wasn't stalking his life, he was okay with this simple gesture. When the woman turned her head to hide an even brighter blush, Felix grinned and took that as a yes. When dinner was over he was nice enough to walk her to her home, just to make sure she wasn't going to be bothered during the late hours of the night. Afterwards he headed home, shooting Aidelia a text.

When the leader falls, the world will weep. No longer will the Blackbird sleep. The Silver Death shall make his move and the evil turned hero will finally rule.

Even in his text he couldn't help the riddles. Heading home, Felix deleted the sent message in his phone. When he arrived there, he went to his room and closed the door. Laying on his bed, he stared at the ceiling. Pulling his phone from his pocket, he sent a text message to Serenity:

I'll be home soon.

After Aidelia had gotten Lacie accustomed with her new job (which she'd, of course, accepted), she went back to her office, where, half aware of the paperwork she was filing, she started wondering what she would do if Kuriyama didn't help her out. When her phone went off several hours later, a grin crossed her face. Turned out he wanted to be home more than he wanted to finish the mission properly. And Aidelia was perfectly fine with that. She didn't respond with anything, but the rest of the night she was feeling pretty damn victorious.

Serenity had just gotten done dealing with an emergency for a ninja that had come in. It wasn't something she did often anymore, but they had needed her. She was positive it wouldn't hurt the babies, so she'd helped out. Just when she was getting ready to go to bed, exhausted, her phone went off. Sitting on the edge of her bed, she pulled her phone out, her eyes practically lighting up at the message. She texted back:

Glad to hear it. I can't wait, I miss you.

Felix grinned at the message he'd gotten from Serenity. Blue eyes shinning, the Shinobi got out of bed, and left through his window. He'd done it many times before, but hey, it was necessary. If Kana was awake, he didn't want her knowing where he was going. It would only cause problems. Felix's destination was Kyla's house. When he arrived, he wasn't thrilled, but he was here and there was no going back. Knocking once, he waited for the hag to come out. "Felix Kuriyama, what a pleasant surprise my boy, what can I do for you?" Kyla answered with squinted eyes. Felix walked inside. "I need you to make something that will induce a temporary coma, maybe two to three days." The old woman looked at her silver haired immortal. "Ah, what dangerous game are you up to this time?" Felix looked at the woman with narrow eyed. "None of your damned business."

Kyla only shrugged and got to work. "You know Felix, you will eventually have to withdraw your chakra from Kana. How will you tell her that you used the same thing that attacked her?" The jonin looked to the side. "What?" Kyla smiled. "You have to take your chakra back some day Felix. That Demon will get lose one day and trust me, do you want it's chakra to find it's rightful owner by itself? It might just put her into a coma, permanently." He knew he'd have to hear some crap like this. "I'll do it some day, but not today. I have to get everything fixed here first." Kyla nodded in understanding and handed the younger immortal the potion. "Good luck my boy." She said. Felix took it without a word and left.

Making his way back home, he crawled into his window and laid back in his bed. Oh, tomorrow was going to bed one hell of a day. Felix just hoped everything went as well as he planned it to go. Of course, nothing ever went his way.

The next morning, Kana woke in a sour mood. It seemed that every day she was waking up in a bad mood now. But today it wasn't because of the mission alone. She was going to find out who it was that was stalking her. She didn't leave the house immediately, because she was up fairly early. Instead she went into the kitchen and pulled out a yogurt. She wasn't all that hungry. About halfway through her yogurt, she pushed it to the middle of the table, before crossing her arms and laying the side of her face down on the cool wood. She hadn't yet changed into her ninja clothes, and was just in a pair of pajama pants and a tank top. She didn't mind walking around the house in her pajamas. Well, sitting, in this case.

Felix woke up and showered. It wasn't until after he came back out of his room that he realized that the Kana was still home. "Good morning," he told her as he went to the door, but stopped. "Are you okay?" He asked. His blue eyes a bit worried because Kyla had put that thought into his head. What if the blue demon's chakra was trying to return and it was making her sick again. Felix's heart sunk at the thought. He didn't need this right now.

"Mornin'," Kana mumbled, raising her head from the table when Felix asked if she was okay. "Yeah, I'm good. Didn't get that great a sleep is all," she told him calmly. She'd noticed that he'd looked a little worried. She had to keep herself from smiling. It was nice to have someone care about her. Either that, or he was just worried about how well she'd be when it came time to take care of Aidelia. She didn't want to think too much on it. She did have to keep training the Jonin and ANBU for the war though. It was a pain to think about, but someone had to do it. If they were lucky, this mission would be over in just a couple months.

Felix nodded. "Well, in that case I'll see you later tonight," he said with a wave. Meeting the guards outside, Felix headed for the tower. Greeting the Kage as he did every morning he sat at the desk and laid his head on the table with a sigh. "Boring job...." The jonin stared at the window with disgust. "Can't ever leave this place without being watched. Can't ever just walk around without permission. Nopes, I just have to sit here in the offi-" "Kuriyama....if you would please stop your complaining, I am trying to do work here," the Kage spoke. Felix gave a small grunt, but fell silent.

"Seeya later," Kana said, returning the wave. She didn't get up for a while after that anyways. She was fairly tired, and much more than fairly annoyed. She was going to start keeping an eye out for that chakra from now on. After getting dressed, Kana left the house and started once more for the training grounds, where she was to meet her ANBU and Jonin. But on the way, something caught her eye. Immediately she followed after the person, who turned a corner. When Kana turned that same corner, she found herself running smack into another person, with a different chakra from the one she'd been chasing.

Kymin blinked when Kana ran into him, grabbing her arm lightly so that she didn't fall backwards. She'd been going pretty fast. "Hey, what's the rush? Training grounds are the other way," he said with a sly smile.

Kana pushed Kymin to the side to look down the street, sighing when she saw no one was there. "Dammit Kymin, he got away."

Kymin looked a bit confused. "Who...got away?"

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 9 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Thu Nov 22, 2012 11:03 pm

The explosion outside shook both Felix and the Kage. However, Felix was the one who got up, blinking when he saw the smoke cloud near the gate. No, it was coming from the gate. "Lord Kage, you may want to get down," Felix stated. "I think the Sand just made their move." The shinobi pulled his jacket off and tossed it to the side as the Kage sat frozen in his seat. "What the hell are you waiting for, get on the ground," Felix snapped, unaware of the kunai that were coming through the window until the glass broke and the kunai hit him in the chest. Felix fell to the floor with a gasp, coughing as another explosion went off. Feli pulled both kunai out and leaned against the wall, his breathing speeding up and his blue eyes narrow. "Damn it," he swore. "What the hell is going on and where the hell are the gate guards?"

Behind the desk the Kage was shaking in fear. His village was under attack and he was hiding behind a desk when he should be out there helping. "Kuriyama? Are you alive," the greying old man asked. "I'm fine," Felix mumbled, right before a third explosion rocked the village. This explosion was not against the gate, it was on the same floor as the Kage and it blew out the wall. Felix immediately summoned the Executioner, protecting the Kage from the blast, but it knocked him out of the window. The silver haired shinobi hit the ground with a thud, momentarily dazed. "The Kage," he groaned as he hurried up the wall, only for another explosion to go off.

Felix avoided the debris, but when he got back upstairs, he did not like what he saw. The Kage was mission and the Executioner was badly wounded. Felix slowly walked over to the yellow and black summoning, rubbing his hands through the creatures fur. "Hey boy, what happened," Felix asked before passing out. The fall had more or less cracked his skull and the shinobi had a terrible concussion.

Kana and Kymin both looked to the gates at the explosion, then to the tower at the third one. "Shit! Kymin, get the ANBU, now!" Kana on the other hand, ran straight towards the tower, not bothering to wait for anyone to let her in as she made her way up to the floor the Kage and Felix were on. When she got up, there was glass everywhere from the broken window, kunai that had missed their targets, planted in the wall, the desk thrown askew, the Executioner standing in front of the empty desk, and Felix on the ground, a wound in his chest, and he was bleeding from the back of his head. Kana didn't care to figure out where the Kage was right now. At the moment, she was more worried about Felix. Running over to him, Kana put pressure on the wounds on his chest as best as she could before taking a cloth out and holding it to the back of his head. She looked to the Executioner. "Come here," she commanded it. She didn't know if it would listen to her, but she needed it to help her take Felix to the hospital, so she had to try.

When an ANBU arrived on the scene, Kana looked to them, and immediately spoke. "I want a perimeter around the village, the Kage is missing. Send a task force to fight the intruders, don't let anyone in or out, and send a medical ninja my way, he's down and badly injured," she told them, referring to Felix. The ANBU immediately went off to put the word out. "Hold on Felix," she said. She really did forget that he was immortal sometimes.

Felix was very much unconscious. He wasn't aware of anything that was going on around him. All he knew was that his head was killing him. When Kana told the Executioner to come here, it gave a weak growl and went over to the brown haired girl. It's fur covered in blood and littered with kunai it knelt down and looked at Kana, as if awaiting for her next orders. It did however glance at Felix, wondering if it's master was still alive. It's fur bristled lightly when another explosion rocked the building, this one coming from somewhere out in the town.

Kana glanced at the creature as it growled at her, raising an eyebrow as it came over. She was trying her hardest to keep her cool. When it came over to her, she carefully picked Felix up, being helped by the medic that came. The medic, however, was reluctant to go anywhere near the Executioner. "Look, just move, he won't hurt you unless ordered to, and if you don't move, I might just give him that order," Kana threatened angrily. Yeah, she wasn't so good at keeping a calm head. The medic swallowed and did as she was told, laying Felix onto the Executioners back. "Go with her and take him to the hospital," she told the large yellow furred beast, running her fingers through the fur on it's side lightly. She gave a nod to the medic, who hurried off with Felix and the Executioner.

After that was done, Kana hurried off to where the explosions were being made, intent on killing anyone she could get her hands on. She'd been in a bad mood already, and this had just been the cherry on the freaking sundae!

The Executioner bristled as he saw the medic come in. It however did not attack. When it was told to take Felix to the hospital, it gave another growl and followed after the medic. By the time it had made it there, the yellow beast was on it's last whim. The moment Felix was taken off it's back it collapsed to the ground and disappeared in a whirl of smoke.

There were six shinobi going through the village. The fourth explosion was the final and it was time to head out. Instead of regrouping within the village, they headed in separate directions. If one was caught, the others wouldn't know until later that night when they met back in their home village.

Kana went around the village, asking ninja if they'd seen where the attackers had gone to. By the time she'd worked her way out to the gates nearly ten minutes later, she'd been told by all of them that the attackers had escaped. All of them had received a swift, yet firm scolding (and occasional hit) from Kana. It was an hour later that Kana finally confirmed that six ninja had left the village, and the Kage was nowhere to be found. Suddenly she was quite apprehensive. Was this Aidelia's doing? Had she known they were trying to get Lacie to the top? That must have been it.

Setting ninja off on patrols and search squads for both the Kage and the attackers, Kana herself made her way to the hospital to check on Felix. When she got there, she found a nurse that was taking care of his room. "How is he doing? What's the extent of his injuries?" she asked, sounding worried. She wasn't going to stay long, but she at least wanted to know if he was going to be okay.

The nurse looked at Kana as she asked about Felix. "Well, he's in a coma, but he should come out of it," she said, hoping Kana wouldn't freak out on her. "He also cracked his head from a fall I believe and he's got two kunai wounds to the chest, but he should be fine. He'll be looking forward to a smooth recovery," she said with a weak smile. "No need to worry." She paused for a moment. "Um, is everything okay out there," she asked. "Were there any casualties, as in...deaths...I have family in the village and...." the nurse trailed off. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be asking that. Your friend is in the hospital."

Kana bit her lower lip lightly when she was told that Felix was in a coma. Even though the nurse said he'd come out of it, she was still worried. Kana nodded lightly with a small sigh when she was told that he should be having a smooth recovery. When the nurse asked about casualties, Kana shook her head. "No need to worry. No deaths. There's a couple people hurt from the explosions, but nothing fatal," she told the woman. She then shook her head. "It's alright. You have as much right to be worried as I do," she said with a nod. "Please take good care of him," she said with a small bow of her head. "I have to head back out now, but I'll be back later to check on him again," she told the nurse.

"Thank you," the nurse said relieved. When Kana started off, the nurse spoke. "Wait, I did notice something strange," she spoke. "There were a few fresh, but old wounds as well. A kunai would awfully close to his heart and marks on his side," she said. "They look like they've been there for a few days, but they were taken care of and wrapped as well," she told the ANBU. "I just thought you should know," she said quietly.

Kana stopped and looked back when the nurse told her to stop. She looked a little surprised when she was told about the old wound by Felix's heart. One that was a couple days old. "Thank you for letting me know," she said with a nod, turning to start out of the hospital, putting a hand briefly over her own heart. This was too weird to be coincidence. Kana had a wound, just over her heart, and it was only a couple days old as well. Shaking her head, Kana started away towards the Kage Tower to look for any clues that might have been left behind. What she found instead was a person she was about ready to chew out.

Kana walked up to Aidelia, before pushing the woman against a wall. "What the hell was this? Did you think you could just bring some people in here to take out the Kage like that, huh?"

Aidelia's eyes widened when she suddenly found herself pushed against a wall. "I didn't have anything to do with this," she said adamantly. "I don't have a clue what's going on, I was just as surprised about this as you were!"

"Bullshit! You knew what was going to happen with Tentou, so you decided to speed things up, right? You landed my partner in the hospital you son of a bitch!" Just as Kana pulled her hand back to punch Aidelia, she felt someone grab her arm. Pulling it away, Kana turned to see Kymin had been the one who grabbed her. "What the fuck Kymin," she swore.

"Don't make a scene," he whispered hurriedly. "You don't even know if it was her."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Listen, we have more pressing issues right now. Like finding the Kage, and helping those who're injured," he told her, glancing at Aidelia.

Where am I? Felix was beyond disoriented and his head was throbbing. What happened? The silver haired jonin couldn't remember a thing from three days ago, let alone that he'd been in a coma for three days. Opening his eyes slowly, he shut them quickly. It was way too bright in this room. Groaning, he tried to sit up, but that was a bad idea in itself. He felt like someone had thrown him from a window. I need morphine, and lots of it. Felix laid back down. Maybe I'll just go back to sleep, he thought to himself. No, I need to find out what happened first. Yeah, something must have happened.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 9 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Fri Nov 23, 2012 1:17 am

For most of the three days that Felix had been unconscious, Kana had been out and about trying to help find the Kage and prove that Aidelia had been the one who'd arranged this. Who else could it have been? Kymin had no reason to do this. Maybe it was one of Aidelia's followers who just didn't want to wait for power, because Aidelia herself didn't seem to know a damn thing about it. However, on this day at this time, Kana was sitting in Felix's hospital room, looking out the window at the movement around them. And she was thinking. How could this have happened? It had been so sudden. Where were they hiding the Kage? Had they killed the Kage already? Was it too early to put Lacie in as Kage?

When Kana heard movement next to her, she turned her head to see that Felix had tried to sit up. Getting out of her chair, she went over to the call button and pressed it. When someone answered, Kana replied with "He's awake." Turning to look at Felix, she went back over to her seat before speaking again. "Hey, can you hear me alright?" she asked him.

Felix put his hand to his face when he heard someone ask could he heard them. "Loud and clear," he answered. "Mind turning off the lights, it's giving me a headache on top the one I already have." When the nurse came in a checked him, Felix went very still. He had no idea who was in the room with him. "Mr. Kuriyama, you're in the hospital. You've been in a coma for three days. You had a mild concussion, but you're fine now. Just try not move too much." She looked at Kana and gave a tiny smile. "He's fine."

Kana nodded when Felix asked her to turn off the lights, getting up and going over to the light switch, flicking all the lights off. It was only mid-day, so the sun was still shining pretty bright, so Kana closed the curtains as well. She looked at the nurse when she told Kana that he was fine. "Is he getting anything for the pain?" she asked, her head tilted a bit. She knew that waking up in a condition like his was usually pretty damn painful, so she had to make sure.

"No," Felix answered for the nurse. He opened his eyes looked around. "I get that I'm in a hospital, but will somebody tell me what led up to it?" He asked. The nurse looked at Kana as she searched for the bottle of morphine, since Felix had informed the both of them that he was clearly in pain. "You should tell him," the nurse said as she took hold of Felix's IV and injected the painkiller into it. "Call if you need anything," she said as she walked out.
