Life, Love, and Loss: A Forgotten History

I dunno about that title...it just popped into my head. >.>

Things between Serenity and Felix have been going well recently. Their children have recently turned 20, and Kana still hangs out with Felix when she has the time (I'll edit this part as needed). She still takes up missions as often as she can, and she's still trying to get out of the habit of pushing people away. It hasn't been going incredibly well. Felix seems to be the only one that she has allowed into her life permenantly, and even so, she sometimes slips up and says things that might push him away. When she realizes it though, she immediately apologizes. Most of the time. For the sake of his kids and his relationship with the healer girl (as she so refers to Serenity), Kana tries to keep things professional. So when she's around Felix, it only seems as if she thinks of them as friends. Not to say she doesn't still have feelings for him though.

A day before her next mission, Kana sees if Felix wants to hang out for a while, just for the hell of it. (Whether they do or not is up to you.) So the next day, Kana leaves on a three-man squad rank-B mission. It was only supposed to last about a week, but after that time period had passed by, the squad was announced missing. Several days later, it was found that the two squad members that Kana was with were found dead, but Kana was nowhere to be found. Though not to the public, higher ranking ninja were warned to keep an eye out for her, and to be careful of her because she was now a suspect. Because of her normally being known for being a hostile person, genin and chuunin were told to get away if they saw her, and tell someone who was Jonin level or above.

Taking a look into Kana's mission, we find that her squad was actually ambushed by ninja from the Hidden Grass Village, near which her squad was assigned. Seeing that Kana was more than just a competent fighter, they managed to knock her out after killing her teammates and bring her back to the village. One of the members of the village specialized in removing a person's memory completely, and that was in fact how they got many of their more powerful ninja. After life in the village progressed, the person would have false memories implanted into their minds, making it impossible for them to remember their past life. But that was only after they'd adjusted to life in the village without memories.

After having been brought to the Hidden Grass Village, Kana had her memory wiped and was put into the hospital due to her wounds from the battle before then. When she awoke, a ninja from the village would be waiting to greet her, claiming to be one of her teammates. Of course, she, not knowing this person, was naturally hostile towards him. Eventually he got her to calm down, and explained a false scenario of what happened. That they had run into some trouble on their last mission, and a jutsu was used on her that made her forget things. That the mission was her last one before she was supposed to start teaching at the academy. They even gave her a false name, so that if recognized as Kana Kianashi, she wouldn't know what they were talking about. (Haven't thought of a false name yet.) Only a day passed before she decided that she was well enough to start training her 'students'. About two weeks passed in the village, and Kana had already bettered most of her students in terms of training. Apparently she didn't believe in teaching students through bookwork. But there wasn't much time for her to do more before what should have been a familiar face passed through the village and caught her attention...

This is funny because we changed the name to the Sunshine

Yeah, we changed quite a lot of things about this plot. I should start reading more of these old plots...
