The Land of Chaos: Part II

DK started swinging without care. He was really glad to have Fara and Alice with him. He didn't care much for Boreas, that guy could be a real pain in the ass at times. Without much thought he flew into the sky as high as he could go before he leaped off into the air and landed in the sand. This was awesome. He wished he'd gotten out of that Unknown sooner.

Silence stopped walking and turned to Cross. "Yes and no. You were not created Cross, you were born." The guardian looked at the raven haired male for long moment. "You and the other are one in the same. One born to protect and the other born to destroy. Two very different paths yet you have more in common than you realize. Alice was just the beginning, but you must find the end."

Cross listened to Silence speak. His words meant more than the guardian would ever know. They certainly put the green eyed being's mind into a more restful state. One, Cross was not simply a tool. He hadn't been made, he'd been born, even if he didn't remember much about after his birth. And two, he had a choice. He enjoyed watching over Alice, certainly, but if he'd ever wanted to leave, he had that choice to do so. Though he wondered what Silence meant by 'the end'. "Thank you," he said with a bow of his head. He'd also learned that apparently him and Batsu had more in common than just their black wings.

Alice gaped as DK jumped off the swing, and then laughed. "That was so cool!" she giggled happily. She tried swinging that high, but couldn't get it, so instead just jumped off as high at as she could get her swing to go. She stumbled forward and ended up on her hands and knees, but laughed nonetheless. "This is so much fun!" she laughed, standing up and dusting herself off. When she looked up again, she noticed that Boreas had both arms draped over the back of the bench and his head was bowed as if he were sleeping. She couldn't help but smile. Going over to DK, she tapped him on the shoulder. "I think he's tired," she giggled, pointing to the brown haired male.

Silence nodded when Cross said thank you. He spoke no more as he disappeared into the forest.

DK watched Alice jump and clapped. She was pretty fun to be around. He was sure that he would miss her once this adventure was over. Eyes glowing he looked towards Boreas as Alice pointed him out. "Hmm, it is pretty late. Maybe we should head home and come out tomorrow. If Cross and Batsu decide we need to stay here to keep out of danger that is." Although to be honest, he would rather join the fight.

Once Silence disappeared, the black winged being went towards the exit. As soon as he was out, he took to the skies, heading back towards the Thunder. He needed to rest. Especially if they'd be going out again tomorrow. As he arrived, he decided he'd wrap his arm first, before getting Alice. But first, he had to deal with the guards and their questions. He told them he'd gotten into a fight with some red haired guy out there, and as soon as he'd told them that, they let him pass, upon remembering how bad off the other guy was. Cross headed straight for the hotel and headed up to his and Alice's room.

Alice nodded lightly when DK said it was late. She felt kinda bad that Boreas had come out here with them if he'd been that tired. Going over to him, she tapped his leg a couple times, giving a small giggle when he woke with a start. "Let's go back home," she smiled.

When Boreas realized he'd been sleeping, he looked off to the side in embarrassment. "We can stay a bit longer if you guys wanna play," he muttered in embarrassment, as Fara flew over to them and landed on one of his extended arms.

DK came over as well. "It's cool Boreas, I'm a bit tired too,"he admitted. His purple eyes shined kindly. He then started towards the hotel. Without a tiny yawn he waved the others to follow. When they got back he looked to the others. "I wonder if Cross every came back." He looked to Alice. "Wanna go check before we leave out," he asked. He meant before they went upstairs to their room. It would be a waste for her to come to their room if Cross was back.

Once Cross got back to the room, he went into the bathroom and took his jacket off, tossing it to the side. He usually wore sleeveless shirts like he was now, so it would be easy to wash the blood off. Using a washcloth and hot water, he washed the blood off and grabbed bandages out of his jacket pocket. He usually had stuff like that prepared, though most of his supplies were at his home near the Stealth.

Alice nodded when DK asked him if she wanted to go check if he came back. She wondered where he'd gone to begin with. Going over to the elevator, she pushed the button and waited. She was kinda tired too, even though she still wanted ice cream. Boreas was following quietly behind them. Every now and then he would stifle a small yawn with his hand.

DK had had his fun and was also ready to crawl into his bed and sleep. Of course he wanted to play tomorrow and the next day and the next and the next one after that. He found that being a kid wasn't so bad after all. Purple eyes shut briefly while in the elevator and for a moment he thought he might doze off but then the elevator sounded and the doors opened. DK slowly exited. "Lead the way," he yawned to Alice. Once he was back in the room he'd shower and go straight to bed.

Alice nodded when DK said to lead the way, walking down the hallway instead of skipping down it like she usually would. Since she didn't have a key to the room door, she knocked on it when they got there, her hands behind her back. "Thanks for playing with me," she said with a smile, looking to DK, Fara, and Boreas. Boreas hadn't played much, but she understood why.

Cross had finished bandaging his arm just as there was a knock on the door. The wound went all the way up his arm, halfway between his elbow and his shoulder, so he was glad that it had stopped bleeding by now. He figured that the sight of his shredded jacket would attract more attention than the bandages, so he went to the door without his jacket and opened it, blinking when he saw Alice and the other two. "Hey," he said lightly. "I just got back in, I was gonna come get you," he told her, then looked to DK and Boreas. "Thanks for keeping her company."

DK smiled when Alice thanked them. "It was fun," he replied. "Thanks for coming over." He looked to the door when Cross came to the door. "Hi." His smiled got a big bigger when they were thanked. "We're all friends, thank you isn't necessary." With a small wave he started for the elevator. "See you in the morning." He didn't ask, but he was a bit curious as to what had happened to Cross's arm.

Cross only nodded and gave a small wave with his uninjured arm when DK and Boreas started to the elevator. He let Alice in, telling her he'd found an infected creature when she asked about his arm. He told her it was nothing but a long cut, to keep her from worrying. After helping her get ready for bed, Cross went over to his own bed and fell right asleep. He'd take a shower in the morning, because for now he was too tired.

DK smiled when he saw that the others were so willing to meet and greet him. "I slept awesome," he replied. "However, Boreas snores." Of course he wasn't sure about that. He was just teasing, but Boreas wasn't around to hear. "He said he'd leave once I saw someone I knew." Shrugging he went over and got himself some food. "So where's Batsu?"

"Sleep," Hunter replied. He then got up and stretched. "I think I'm going to get food too." He walked away to revive the food. He'd get waffles since Alice said it was good.

Boreas gave a light sigh as he walked up the stairs, one hand on the railing as he went. He paused when he realized that Fara was still on his shoulder. "Do you want to go eat with them?" he asked, stopping on a step to look at her. When she looked back to the cafeteria with an unsure expression on her face, Boreas gave a soft smile. "It's okay, you can go. I was probably just gonna fall back asleep after I ate anyways. You'd get bored," he told her. When she gave him a look, he chuckled. "No, I mean it. Go eat with them. See if Alice will get you some strawberries," he told her with a smile. Going back to the bottom of the stairwell, he opened the door for her, and, when no one was looking, she flew over into the cafeteria and landed on DK's shoulder happily, giving him a small wave once she had. Closing the door, Boreas's smile faded a bit. It sucked that he couldn't eat with them, but he couldn't bear the sight of so many disgusting humans. He hadn't been joking when he'd told DK he'd get sick being in that room. With a small sigh, the brown haired male headed back upstairs and to his room to order room service.

Alice smiled when Hunter said he was going to get some food, waving to Fara as she came over. "Good morning," she said happily. She tilted her body on the chair to look at where Boreas had been only moments before. "Maybe he forgot something," she said. She didn't want to think that he didn't want to eat with them.
