Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 18 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Kymin had just gotten done warning a couple more villagers about what was going on when he got Felix's text message. He blinked once he read it. He wasn't sure what favor it was, but he needed to find out more about what he'd heard between the silver haired guy and Aidelia. After all, it had been far too suspicious to ignore. Maybe Kana had found something out, and that's why they weren't on good terms. Did Felix have something to do with the death of the Kage? Shaking his head, Kymin sent a text back as he walked back towards the apartment.

Yeah, sure thing. I have a bit of free time now. I'll stop by.

Kymin blinked when he saw Kana turning a corner onto a street separate from him. She looked worse than when he'd seen her earlier. When he tried to call her, she only seemed to shrink as she walked. He wondered what was going on. He figured he'd talk to her later about all this. She didn't really look like she wanted to be bothered. Walking back to the apartment, Kymin knocked at the door and waited.

Felix had taken a quick shower and dressed in some comfortable clothes. No need dressing like a ninja when he was no longer considered one. He was in the kitchen when he'd gotten Kymin's text and still in the kitchen when there was a knock on the door. Felix walked over and opened it, motioning Kymin inside. "Is there any way you can allow them to have you escort me to Kyla's house," he asked, getting straight to the point. "It's important. I'd prefer to speak to her outside the walls, but if you can't then could you bring her to me. I'd prefer you not considering Kana and me are still not on good terms, but if push comes to shove, I'll just have to risk it." His blue eyes were dead serious. "I know this sounds like some serious demands, which they are, but I'm sure you're wanting answers. If you help me, I'll tell you everything you want to know."

Kymin walked in when he was motioned inside, not too surprised that Felix was cutting straight to the chase. He listened quietly to the favor that needed to be done and took a few moments to consider it. "I can try, but chances are it might not just be me that's going to have to escort you. Considering you nearly took down two Crested ANBU with you on your flight out, they're not gonna let you alone with just one ANBU outside the village. Even if I am ANBU Captain," he told Felix, a hint of uncertainty in his voice. "I can probably get you out to see her, but that all depends on how many people you consider a crowd," he told him. The more people Felix was willing to let go, the more likely he could get him out. Actually...if he managed to speak to Aidelia about it, she might be more willing to let him out. Or so Kymin thought. It would certainly fit the theory Kymin had come up with.

He knew he was in no position to be picky, so Felix merely shrugged. "How many ever it takes to get me out the village is fine with me." He couldn't believe they still saw him as a threat even though he was completely disarmed. He looked to the ground and then back up. "Thanks for helping me out," he said. "Hopefully the turn out will help more than one of us out." Felix gave a small shrug. He wouldn't say this was for Kana because he knew that Kymin would be willing to do anything for her. Felix wanted the ANBU Captain to go about the right way of doing things, if only to keep Romeo out of trouble.

Kymin gave a nod when Felix said however many. "I can work with that," he said with a small smirk. "I'll see what I can arrange, and I'll shoot you a text when things are set up. Shouldn't take more than half an hour," he said. "Unless you wanna come with," he told Felix with a shrug as he started out. It was weird. Kymin had fallen for Kana for reasons not many would suspect, but Felix intrigued the black haired captain as well. Maybe it was cuz the guy was immortal. Or maybe it was something else entirely. Kymin wasn't sure, but either way, all he was concerned with right now was the truth. And hell, if granting this favor could get him some answers, then he was willing to do it.

Felix was more than satisfied as Kymin informed him that he would try and that it wouldn't take long to get an answer. "Thanks." When asked if he wanted to tag along, the silver haired shinobi only shook his head. "It'd be best if I stay here," he responded simply. "Besides, I have to feed Snickers." It was an excuse, Felix had no clue where the black cat was. He just didn't want to here the gossip through the village, but he was sure they had other things to talk about, like that attack.

Kymin nodded when Felix said he'd just wait there, and left. It was only about 35 minutes later that Felix would get a text message from Kymin.

Caught a lucky break. Meet me by the gates.

Of course, Kymin didn't mention why or what that lucky break was. Felix would see when he got there that it was just Kymin waiting by the gates for him. He'd managed to talk to Aidelia about this, and he'd hinted on that he knew what was going on. A bluff that Aidelia didn't call. So Kymin stood at the gates with a grin as he leaned with his arms crossed on the wall.

Felix had chopped up some left over sandwich meat for Snickers and left it on the floor in a bowl. When he saw his phone light up on the table, he checked it, wondering what the news was. Felix wondered what that text was supposed to mean. Caught a lucky break? Did that mean only a few ninja were coming and not the whole ANBU squadron? Felix didn't text back to find out. Instead, he just went to the gates to meet Kymin. He was surprised when he saw that the black haired ninja was alone. What strings had he pulled? Felix didn't want to know, because he'd pulled so many strings himself that it had landed him in a world of trouble and betrayal. "How'd you manage this," he asked curiously.

Kymin grinned when he saw the look on Felix's face, pushing himself off the wall and waiting for the silver haired jonin to get closer. "Twisted a few arms, made a few threats," he joked, then waved his hand in a dismissive manner. "Nah, it wasn't actually so hard if you know the right people. Besides," he gave Felix a smirk. "We can't really spare ninja what with village repairs and search teams for that monster, now can we?" He then waved Felix to walk with him. "Well, let's go then."

Felix couldn't find Kymin's joke funny even if he tried. Maybe on some other day, but today was not the day. The blue eyed jonin understood the whole knowing the right people thing though. He wondered who Kymin knew that was capable of allowing them out without more escorts. Felix didn't care, he was just glad to be out. He wanted to run through the forest and never look back, but that would be a very, very, very bad idea. So instead he followed Kymin in silence. Waiting to be bombarded with questions.

Kymin led the way to Kyla's house, without talking for a few minutes. He was thinking of a way to phrase this. When he did, he still wasn't sure that it was such a good idea to ask it, but aside from combat in his injured state, what could Felix really do to him? "So. I'm curious Felix. What were you and Aidelia discussing out here last week?" he finally asked, glancing at Felix.

Felix looked at Kymin when he finally spoke. He knew it was coming, but that was far from what he expected. How did he know? Felix decided not to question it. For one he was all out of favors and two, he'd promised to answer Kymin's questions. "She was asking me about how I'd managed the attack on the village," he answered truthfully. "I told her it was none of her business, I'd done what needed to be done in order to get home." He shrugged. "That and she thanked me before telling me I should leave the forest if I wanted peace and quiet."

Kymin waited patiently for Felix's answer, and when he got it, he nearly stopped walking. So the attack had been Felix's doing. "Why did you issue the attack?" What reason did Felix have? This could've been bad. Of course, if Aidelia did end up getting to the top, or even making her way close, Kymin supposed he'd have to put his life on the line to kill her. If he didn't, the only thing that the future would hold was war. And by damn how he was sick of war.

Felix saw Kymin pause for a brief moment. It was enough for Felix to pick up how shocked the Sand ninja was. Again Felix was prepared to answer the question. He was sure there was no question that he wouldn't be able to answer at this point. It was all his doing and he'd informed Kana about it all anyway."In order to go home," answered. "This village is killing me. The longer I stay here the less sane I become. I don't want to lose it a third time and end up hurting someone I actually care for," Felix stated somberly. "So I devised a plan that couldn't possibly fail." Although it had sort of backfired on him because he'd rushed leaving.

Kymin stayed quiet as Felix explained, and in the end couldn't help but smile a bit. "Seems you overlooked a little something though. Cuz somehow you're stuck in the Rock." He paused and gave a sigh. "It doesn't really matter, I guess. Nothing can be so badly damaged that it can't be fixed." He wasn't sure if Felix would question him on it or not, which was why the spy ANBU Captain was glad when Kyla's house came into sight. "Ah look, we're here," he said, looking over his shoulder with a smile.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 18 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Mon Dec 31, 2012 8:21 am

Felix hated how Kymin seemed to be so damn optimistic. He gave a small huff when the black haired shinobi pointed out the obvious. "Like I don't know that," he mumbled. He merely looked at Kymin when he said nothing could be so badly damaged that it couldn't be fixed. You mortals know nothing, Felix thought bitterly. When Kymin suddenly pointed out Kyla's house, he blinked. Was he ready to speak with her after there last meeting. He sighed and then looked to Kymin. "You know, you have a point about that last part," he said with an icy glow and a unreadable grin as he walked up to Kyla's door and knocked. He was glad the woman answered, because it meant Kymin would probably be feeling left in the dark, because that's how Felix felt. "Ah, Felix and the ANBU Captain, what a pleasant surprise," the hag greeted with a happy smile. "How can I help you?" Felix was glad she wasn't trying to distract them. "I need you to help me pull the Blue Demon chakra from Kana," he said. They're gazes met and held for a very long moment. Kyla only nodded in understanding. "Wants some tea," she asked Kymin.

Kymin grinned at Felix's mumbling. "Don't worry, you'll get home soon enough." He then chuckled. "Mighta been sooner though, if ya hadn't been in such a hurry." Okay, maybe he was pushing it a bit too much. Yeah, he was gonna stop. When Felix grinned back at him, he felt like he shoulda moved a bit further away. But he didn't. Kymin nodded at Kyla when the woman addressed him. "Lady Kyla," he responded kindly. He didn't have anything against the old woman. Actually, in the back of his mind, he was wondering if he'd ever met her in a past life. That would be interesting.

Kymin blinked when Felix mentioned the Blue Demon's chakra, and removing it from Kana. Wasn't that dangerous? Isn't that why they hadn't done it to begin with? All in one sentence, Felix and the old woman had Kymin's utmost attention. "No thank you," the ANBU Captain responded. He was curious now.

Kyla wasn't offended ass he made her own cup of tea and took a seat. She expected the boys to do the same, but didn't care whether or not they did. "She must be awake when it happens. Summon the Blue Demon and have Kana make a link with it. Similar to the combining of chakra's, she must force what does not belong to her into the beast." Felix was surprised she was being so direct. Why was she being so helpful? What did she have to gain? "That's all," he asked. "Of course not, be patient and let me finished," the old woman snapped, causing Felix to groan lightly. "You must be sure that all of it's chakra is gone, the only way to do this is to make a chakra link with her. You should be able to get rid of any remaining traces. Once you are positive, take back that beast and move on with your lives." Felix placed his hands in his pockets. "Thank you." Kyla gave a small smile. "It's for Kana, not you." Felix gaze a counter reply. "I came here for Kana, not myself." He then turned to Kana. "Let's go."

Kymin didn't sit, but only listened to Kyla telling Felix how to go about this. Why didn't Felix tell him that this was for Kana? Not that he'd hesitated before, but was something going on? Kymin paused when Felix told Kyla that he'd come here for Kana, and not for himself. At that moment, something clicked in his head. The Blue Demon. He remembered seeing that creature when Kana was sick. It was a fierce beast. A monster.

Kymin nodded when Felix said they were going. "Take care," he told Kyla as they left. Kymin was silent for a few moments, but it wasn't like before. This time he seemed worried. "Felix. That camp full of ninja I told you guys about." A pause as he took a breath. He wasn't sure he wanted the answer. "Did that have anything to do with Kana?"

Felix knew Kymin wasn't stupid, but he knew the truth wouldn't be something he wanted to hear, so Felix lied. Whether Kymin accepted it or not was up to him. "No," he answered. "If you must know, my reason for coming here was to prevent something like that from happening with Kana." He gave a small shrug. "I've seen it before, what that thing can do. Not an ounce of sanity lies behind those steely eyes, just hatred and rage waiting to be released." He glanced at the other ninja. "I don't want it to do to her what it has done to me." Okay, so it was partially a lie, but not all lie. Felix did want to protect her before the demon got loose again. It was Felix's burden to bare and his alone. He would not allow Kana to fall any deeper because of this. Now he felt horrible about what he'd said to her earlier. He'd called her a monster, and that was not true. The only monster here is you, he told himself.

Kymin wasn't sure Felix was telling him the truth, so he decided to ask another question, since his silver haired friend had brought up the concept of rage. "You tell Kana about the attack yet?" he asked. Maybe he didn't know everything about Kana, but he knew enough. He knew the girl was short tempered. He knew she put her work above all else, because she couldn't make personal connections as easy as most. He knew that if something had jeopardized this mission, she wouldn't take it lightly.

Felix felt like he was being lured into a trap. All these lies were digging him deeper and deeper into a hole. Felix sighed. "It's the reason we're not on good terms." Felix knew she couldn't stand him and he was to the point where he was going to let her have the apartment all by herself. He could always find a hotel to sleep at for the next few weeks until his trial. He'd be going to jail anyway. He bowed his head at the thought. Why was he suddenly feeling guilty for all of his actions when he'd done it all for a good cause.

Kymin nodded at Felix's response. "Thought as much." It was a moment before Kymin spoke again. He figured, egh, why not let the guy in on it. "You know, I'm not an enemy. And you don't have to lie to me, even if you think it's gonna do good. While finding out Kana had something to do with that camp isn't fun, I've been through worse. Way worse." Another pause. "And it's not like I'm gonna rat her out," he said with a light smile. Felix knew that last bit. He was just trying to not make this depressing as hell, and trying not to sound too accusatory.

Felix's eyes were unblinking as Kymin spoke. "You may not be an enemy, but I've done too much damage for you to consider me as a friend," he stated. "I don't understand why you're not acting resentful towards me like the others," he stated shortly. "I killed your damn Kage and put Aidelia first in line. She's going to destroy your home once she has this village where she wants it." Felix was trying not to sound angry, but God, why was Kymin so chill about everything? How could he be so chill was the question. "If anything I should be your number one enemy." Felix shook his head.

Kymin looked to Felix as he said he'd done too much damage. "Didn't I tell you? Nothing's so damaged that it can't be fixed." He waved his hand a bit. "Hey, the guy wasn't my Kage, I don't hold loyalty to him." Kymin grinned and started walking with his hands behind his head when Felix spoke of how he should be his number one enemy. "If I made number one enemies over things like this, I'd have about..." he paused and looked up thoughtfully. "Egh, somewhere around fifteen number one enemies. And half of'em would be dead, so there's really no point." Kymin was laying down as many hints as he possibly could for Felix, without actually saying it outright. After all, his clans' kekkai genkai was a bit difficult to explain...
