Felix grin turned to a smirk as Kana was hit. She should have just stayed home. Felix turned toward Kyla. Something inside him twisted. A sickening feeling that some part of this was wrong but it was forced down as the demon turned on Kana, it's form now solid. Before Felix could object, the blue and white demon snapped it's fangs into Kana's shoulder, attempting to take her down. Felix had to find some sort of support. The closest thing was a tree. With his chakra solid and still spiraling out of control, it wasn't exactly the best of feelings. In fact it was the worst he'd ever encountered. Kyla too felt it. She dropped to her knees. "Kana!" She screamed as she watched the scene unfold.

The creature turned solid. It moved. The next thing Kana knew, there was red everywhere, and a pain in her shoulder that spread throughout her body. A pain she had never encountered before, not even when Aidelia had used that jutsu on her. It was like the chakra this beast had was entering her own chakra network and shutting her entire body down. She couldn't help it. A scream of pain escaped her. She fell to her knees, but on instinct, her opposide arm had tried to drive a kunai into the creature. She wouldn't last much longer, she could feel it. And yet, every fiber of her being was struggling to keep her awake. To keep her alive, though she could not die. But...could she really not die?

It was almost as if it was grinning. He gave Kana a good shake and then tossed her off to the side like a rag dog when it felt the kunai piercing its thick fur. Stepping back he looked at Kana. Eyes glowing, blood dripping from it's mouth. It swiped a pink tongue over it's muzzle. Felix was recovering from the suddenness of the creature coming to life. Walking up beside it he looked at Kana. His eyes as blank as his face. A kunai in his hand. "I'm only going to say it once more. I want the cure. Now. If you don't, I'll make sure you die a very painful death."

Kana had no strength to protest as she was tossed aside. She couldn't move. Could barely breath. Her thoughts were going fuzzy. Her whole body burning. The blood that had drained from her already had left her pale. But still, she tried to push herself up. She couldn't lift herself five inches off the ground before she collapsed. The last thing she heard was the sound of Felix demanding the cure. The last thing she saw was her own blood staining the grass. Then she blacked out.

Serenity jumped off the creature and headed towards the enormous chakra presence the moment they were close enough to the ground. Konner protested about her just rushing in, but she waved him off. Before Felix had left, it was barely noticeable that Serenity was pregnant, but now it was very obvious. When she saw Felix, she also saw Kyla, and a woman on the ground, lying in a pool of her own blood. This made Serenity freeze in place. What had happened? There was also some kind of creature next to Felix. "Felix!" she called, starting towards him. "Felix, what's going on? What happened?" There was nothing but worry in her voice. Concern. But she was also scared. Scared that he'd been hurt, scared that he was going after Kyla, and scared that he'd killed someone with a Crested headband on. Most of all, she was scared that he might be doing what she thought he was doing.

He'd thought he'd imagined it. But as he forced his cold gaze away from Kyla he saw her. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and very much pregnant. A growl made him turn. He was now fighting a battle against the creature he'd unwillingly summoned onto this earth and the need to kill Kyla. "Go home," he said. His will power dwindling back to his first intentions. He faced Kyla who was trying to get up. Felix allowed his chakra pressure to increase until the hag had to scratch at her throat for air. Felix watched her without much thought. "I never got your answer." Kyla's eyes darted between the fallen Kana, the angered Felix, and the worried Serenity. What was she doing here anyway? "No," she said. But then something came to her. She could kill two birds with one stone. If she said yes, Felix would let her up, she could start the cure, Ser would not agree, and maybe Felix was just lost enough to take his anger out on her. All the while Kyla could save Kana's life.

Serenity blinked. Go home? He'd just told her to go home? "No," she said, her voice half disbelieving. She started walking towards Felix, ignoring the creature for the moment. She'd defend herself if she had to. But for now, she didn't feel she had to. "Felix, what are you doing? Please, talk to me, what is going on here? I got a call saying that you...that you started out of control, destroying an entire house, please, I just...what are you trying to do...?" Was he...trying to get the antidote? Oh god, she hoped the answer was no. Please, please let it be no.

Why did she have to come here? He was fine until she came here. He kept himself from turning to her, but the demon made of chakra was less tolerant. It turned and snapped at her, but careful not to actually bite her. It was trying to scare her away. "I'm fine," Felix answered. "Go home. I have everything under control." He couldn't guarantee her safety. His chakra was lashing out in all directions and he couldn't control it. If Serenity got hit, he wasn't sure what he'd do. "Kyla, I don't mind killing you." He pulled a kunai and spun it casually. "Feel like changing your answer?" The woman shook her head no. Felix planted the kunai in her leg, right above the knee cap. Kyla screamed in pain. Felix said nothing for a moment. He pulled the next kunai. "Want to change your answer?" He asked. Kyla nodded her head yes. "Fine, I'll do it." She spoke bitterly. Felix nodded his head in the direction of the broken house. "Get a move on, I don't have all day." Kyla hoped those ANBU showed their faces. Wish someone would come and distract Felix. She would have to take his life for this. But they'd need more than one or two ninja. They needed multiple attacks. "You can't save him," she said to Serenity as she got up and went to the house with a limp. "He's now lost in the madness. The longer he's like this, the longer that thing is out there, the less control he has. You'd better take your children and go before you lose them too," she said hoarsely. She looked back at Serenity with an aged look on her face. "Boy, you'd better take her away. She's a stubborn one." She was talking to Konner. "He won't hurt you if you take her and leave, but time is running out." She looked to Serenity. "I won't apologize for this. I can't have him running amok. It has to end."

Why was he doing this...? She'd thought that he was going to stay with her and raise their kids...Or did...he have a change of heart? Did he decide that...all he really wanted was to die...? This made Serernity's eyes tear a little. Her gaze shot to Kana at her change in heart. "What...? Kyla, don't you dare," her voice was uneven. No, she didn't want Felix to have the antidote, but she was still confused on why he even wanted it. She looked at him. "Felix...why?" Was all she could say. That is, until Konner took her arm and tried to lead her away. "Don't touch me," she snapped. "Lady Serenity, please, there's nothing you can do here.." Konner protested. If it came to it, he might have to drag her out of the situation. Especially since there were ANBU starting to show up, and they didn't seem as unwilling as Kana was to attack Felix. A fire style had already been sent in Felix's direction, as well as a rock style and a wave of shuriken.

Felix watched Kyla. The Blue Demon watched Serenity. When Felix' s gaze left Kyla and focused on Serenity, the beast turned to Kyla. They were moving simultaneously. "Why?" He asked. "Because I got sick of the bullshit. I'm tired. It's time for me to go home." He looked at Konner. He wasn't sure if he'd ever seen him before. "Take care of her, will you." Felix turned back to face Kyla, but the demon's eyes never even made it to Serenity's location because it was growling. Suddenly it stood on it's hind paws. It was well balanced. Kyle shuddered, the thing must have noticed the surrounding ANBU. Felix smirked. He knew he couldn't dodge all of them. He was going to have to pick his poison. The water style. He did the best of avoiding the shuirken. The demon was reflecting some of the attacks, but this wasn't just one of two. It was a wave and it was only making the creature madder. Felix could feel it. The water style made a direct hit, knocking Felix back. Kyla took that instant to turn from the antidote and send a force field over the creature, making it fall back onto all four. She quickly snatched up the antidote and ran towards it. If she could make the demon take the antidote instead of Felix then this could end without killing Felix. She just had to- Felix's chakra lashed out again, knocking her back, the field dropped and the demon rush into the rank of ANBU, snapping and tearing at anything close to it.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Mon Dec 26, 2011 10:19 pm

Serenity felt a cold wave wash over her that had nothing to do with Felix's chakra. Her immortal self was telling her to let him go, it's what he wants. But there was another part of her aside from her mortal or immortal self. It was telling her something entirely different. Make him stay. Serenity didn't know why, but that was what she listened to. She'd realized that Kyla had been trying to restrain the blue demon....wait...blue demon? It was only then that Serenity realized the severity of the situation. When Konner went to grab for her to pull her away, Serenity glared at him. Considering that didn't make him stop, she sent a quick jab of a punch at him. Probably breaking his nose. "Sorry," she said, not sounding too sincere about it. Serenity turned back to the fight and looked at the blue demon a moment before a forcefield of solidified wind surrounded it. Felix would be mad at her for this. But she didn't want to lose him. She couldn't lose him.

One of the ANBU got caught in the beasts' rampage, while another went to attack with a fire style, another rock style being sent in Felix's direction. These ANBU would not let up. One of the reasons was because they'd seen what he'd done to their teacher.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Mon Dec 26, 2011 10:28 pm

Kyla was going to have to do it. She knew it was the only choice if they
wanted to live and this was the only opportunity she had. "Let the fates play the devil's advocate. Abolish this demon from whence it came."
Felix had heard Kyla speaking. Who she was speaking to was a different
question. He pulled his last kunai from it's pouch. So now it had come
to this. Serenity had betrayed him and Kyla was trying to make this
official. The second the ball of yellow energy was released, Felix sent
his kunai flying, unaware of the attacks that were coming to him. Both
attacks hit their target. Kyla's attack hit and so did the ANBU attacks.
It'd taken all he'd had to recover from it, but when he did he gave
them a glare. On the other hand the Blue Demon was going into a mad fit
from the direct hit it had received. Felix felt like the very chakra in
his body was being snatched away. The world begin to spin, making him
stumble back in confusion. The Blue Demon howled long and deep before
dispersing into it's original chakra state. All of Felix's chakra came
rushing back at him and he had to momentarily stop and catch his breath.
As some knowledge of what was happening came back to him he looked to
Kana who was out on the ground. Felix's heart sunk as he ran over to
her. Before he was halfway there he came to an abrupt stop. Something
wasn't right. It was clear when he suddenly collapsed onto the ground in
agony. Every part of him was on fire, or at least that was what it felt
like. Adrenaline had kept him from feeling the rush of his chakra, but
now that his chakra had resided, shock was setting in.

Kyla got
up. Her arm hit by the kunai. She looked between her two downed
immortals. She wasn't sure who she should care for first. Kana! She'd
take care of Kana first. Felix had deserved what he'd got. Kana had not.
The old woman went over to the girl and begin to apply pressure on the
would. She looked at the remaining ANBU. "I need help," she snapped.
"Get over here. Kana, stay with me." How much time had passed? Did the
girl loose to much blood? Losing a life this early could result in
complete termination. No second chances. This was all Felix's fault.
She'd never forget this, ever.

So it was done, Felix's demon was gone, but then...Serenity blinked as he started to run towards the girl on the ground, before collapsing. That made her eyes widen. She ran over to him without hesitation. "Felix!" He looked like he was in pain, a lot of pain. And Kyla had gone over to the girl, the girl who was surely already dead. There was too much blood on the ground for her to still be alive, right? Serenity knelt down next to Felix and looked him over. It was no wonder he was in pain, he was injured in so many places, a slash across the chest, probably a kunai mark, shuriken, he's been hit by the water style and the rock style....Serenity's eyes teared. She was going to make sure he wasn't in pain. She knew though, the wounds weren't the only reason for the pain. His chakra had rushed back into him all at once. Serenity shook her head lightly and started healing the worst injuries first.

The ANBU kept an eye on Felix as he fell. Without hesitation, they went over to Kyla when called, Konner going over to Serenity. "What can we do?" One of the ANBU inquired.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Mon Dec 26, 2011 10:39 pm

He heard her voice. But the pain was outweighing it all. He wanted to scream, but he held back the urge. Though his face clearly showed he was in agony. Felix clenched his fist. His breathing coming fast. He was
fidgeting where he lay. Pain raked through his body, causing him to convulse. The wound on his chest was badly bleeding and the other wounds he'd obtained throughout the fight were not much better. Felix wished that he could just die. This was unbearable. His eyes shut tight he tried to wish the pain away. But it wouldn't recede. Felix coughed, followed by a low moan. Kyla looked back over her shoulder at the two.
"You can't save him," she said lowly. "The chakra has destroyed everything. There's no help for him. He's bleeding on the inside. The speed of his chakra has torn the veins. The best thing you can do for
him is put him in a genjutsu so he can sleep." Felix barely heard the woman's words. And had he, he would have snapped at her. Though he hadn't heard her speak, Felix knew he had a limited amount of time. He
had not wanted to go this way. The antidote would have been painless, this was awful. He jerked slightly when he felt his heart seem to crush itself before exploding into rapid beating. Felix's eyes flew open. He
couldn't breath. He grasped for anything tangible. The effort hurt like hell but what else could he have done. Once his heart had gone back to it's normal rhythm Felix looked up at Serenity. "I'm sorry." The normal heart beat begin to slow. "I'm really sorry." He knew there would never be enough apologizing in the world to cover this. He wished that she had never come. That she had stayed home, but here she was. Felix wondered why they had called her of all people. What could she have done. Kyla was working on Kana when she heard Felix speaking. Maybe this was for the best.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Mon Dec 26, 2011 11:01 pm

(I...*sniffle* hate you right now...*sniffle* Sad )

This was her fault. This was all her fault, she shouldn't have restrained the demon, he would have survived. What was she thinking?! He was still going to survive... But he was in so much pain, why was she trying to keep him here...? Serenity put her hands on either side of Felix's face as he spoke. "Don't...it's going to be alright Felix, I'm going to take care of you, okay?" But the tears coming from her eyes told a different story. She wasn't sure if she could heal him in time. She was ignoring Kyla. She would save him. She had to. She'd do whatever it took. Even...even if it meant her her own life. She didn't care anymore. If that's what it took to save Felix, she would.

But there was one thing that Kyla was right on. The genjutsu. A genjutsu would let him rest without pain. And she could heal him. She didn't need him awake to heal him. His face still in her hands, Serenity kissed Felix lightly. "It's going to be okay," she said softly, before taking her hands from his face and performing one of the only jutsu she knew. She'd had to learn this one, some of her patients had been in too much pain for her to work. So, this jutsu was used to put them to sleep and numb them so that they wouldn't feel pain while she was healing. She hoped that she'd never have to use it on Felix, she prayed that she wouldn't. But things never turn out the way you want them to. Not two seconds after the jutsu had taken effect did Serenity start on repairing the damaged veins and arteries. She didn't care if she had to heal his whole body, if she had to, she would. But then it hit her. Her children. Their children. Could she do this without harming them? Then again, if she remembered rightly, they would only be affected negatively if she healed over months, not minutes. They'd be fine. This would cause them no harm at all. And for that, Serenity was everso grateful.

Serenity wasn't sure how to start healing him. It would be better to focus on one area first, and move quickly, but that could cause other spots in his body to get worse faster. But if she tried to repair all the veins at once, it would take much too long. She wasn't sure what to do. Then it hit her. She'd work her way outwards starting from his heart. Yes, that would work. Only a few seconds had passed in that little debate with herself, but Serenity felt like that had been forever. Every second counted, and she was wasting Felix's by sitting around doing nothing. Immediately after deciding, Serenity got to work. She'd be exhausted after this, no doubt, but she didn't care. Nothing mattered right now except for saving Felix. I love you Felix...please don't die on me...please... The thing was, Serenity had meant for him to hear that, but she wasn't sure if she could push her thoughts into genjutsus on purpose.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Tue Dec 27, 2011 2:09 am

"Felix, it's time to wake up. Serenity is waiting for you," spoke a voice. Felix wasn't sure where he was. Everything was black. But he recognized the soft voice of Meridian. "I can't go back," he answered. Meridians sweet giggle rang throughout the darkness. "But that's where you belong. With Serenity and you're two beautiful baby girls." Felix shook his head. He couldn't. He was close to home. "Felix, this isn't home. It's just a dream. You have to wake up." Meridian's voice was soft as always, but it sounded like it was necessary for him to go back, to wake up. Felix sighed. "Sing for me," he said. Again her laugh rang through the open darkness. "Maybe on song," she said. "For you." Felix smiled. Tell me what the rain knows...." She begin to sing, softly as a bright blue sky ripped open the darkness. Felix felt like he was falling to the earth on a cloud. He blinked lightly, his eyes adjusting to the sudden light. And there she was. Meridian in all her beauty, coming towards him. Felix reached out for her and she took his hand. As the fell to the earth below Felix smiled. "I love you," he said. Tears choked him as he spoke, but he didn't care. Meridian smiled back and kissed him. "I love you too." They landed as soft as a feather on the meadow. Felix laying on his back and Meridian laying against his chest. "It's time to go home," she whispered. Felix nodded. "I know."

The waking world was not as pleasant as the dream that had felt so real. The dream that felt as though they'd been there, together in the field. The waking world was cold. It was an effort. Felix opened his eyes to the harsh light of the room he was in. He was laying down, a bunch of wires hook up to him. A mask was on his face. He tried sitting up but the slightest movement hurt beyond words of explanation. It almost brought tears to his eyes and he had to relax. He swallowed and found his throat was extremely dry. He looked around from where he lay. There was Serenity. He hadn't noticed her earlier. Felix closed his eyes again, the light was bothering him. And whatever pain killers he was on was not working. Being conscious sucked. He wondered how long he'd been out. He tried remembered Meridian's song. It was fading into the back of his memory. Felix suddenly opened his eyes and with whatever will power he had left lifted himself up. The wave of pain sent him into a hard shock accompanied by a fit of coughing that splattered blood against his oxygen mask. Felix closed his eyes shut. Swallowing back a low groan. Kana. He blacked out again, this time there was no Meridian. Just darkness. He woke up less than fifteen minutes later feeling no less worse than he already had.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Serenity had scarcely ever left Felix's room after the incident. He'd been out for four days thus far. Every day, after the nurses left, Serenity found herself crying silently. She couldn't forget what had happened. How much pain he'd been in. What should have been his last words to her. She looked up as Felix's heart monitor sped up as Felix pushed himself up, then went into a coughing fit. Serenity called for the nurses. She wasn't allowed to do anything more than visit in this village, they didn't know her here. She had to wait for those incompetent nurses to come in and do everything. When he awoke a second time, not too soon after, Serenity was back in her chair, her head in her hands. It only looked like she was holding her head in her hands, but there were also tears. She hadn't noticed he'd woken up again.

Kana blinked awake. She didn't remember what happened. How had she gotten into the hospital? When she tried to move, she had to hold back a scream. Okay, moving was bad. Swallowing, Kana slowly looked around. It was light outside. Finally, the memories of what happened came rushing back to her, making her feel extremely sick. Felix had sicked that...that thing on her. She could have died. He'd really tried to kill her. So much for allies. So much for friends....

Felix still felt like someone had crushed him under a mountain. He was tired, in pain, and very thirsty. He knew that moving was not smart from his previous wake up. He did remember that Serenity had been in the room with him. He saw her with her head in her hands. Felix's heart seemed to twist with pain. He'd hurt her. Not physically but emotionally. He voicelessly tested his vocals before he spoke. "Ser?" He'd had to cut her name short because even speaking hurt. It felt like he'd just swallowed sand paper. He closed his eyes. These lights were really a bothersome. He tried to get her attention again. "I'm sorry." An apology. He should have said that first. "Are," he paused. "The kids okay?" The effort of speaking was way more than he could chew on, but he had to know. Stressing over him could have caused some problems. If something had happened because of him he'd never live it down. And never was a long time when you lived forever.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Tue Dec 27, 2011 2:45 am

Serenity looked up as Felix spoke. She wished he wouldn't. What he needed now was rest. But she was glad to see that he was awake, and not trying to move, at least. Remembering she'd been crying, Serenity quickly wiped her eyes, shaking her head when he apologized. She looked at him when he asked if the kids were okay. She nodded. "Yeah, they're fine." She wanted to smile, to let him know that things were going to be fine. But she couldn't bring herself to smile. Serenity moved her chair a bit closer to him and put her hand on his lightly. "Please don't try to move again...you need rest, Felix, and a lot of it," she told him as calmly as she could. There was still sadness in her eyes though. She couldn't hide that.

With her left arm, Kana traced over the bandaged on her right shoulder, where the creature had bit. Looked like it was time for her to learn how to use her left hand better. Kana's eyes darted around the room again. It was empty. No one except her. She laid her head back and stared at the cieling, letting her left hand drop back into place next to her. On the bright side, she could use this little event to send Felix home. She was pissed at him beyond reasoning right now. But at the same time, a feeling of hurt was washing over her. Not just because of what had happened, but because of the silence of her room. She was immortal now. Was she doomed to be alone forever?

Kymin and a couple other ANBU had decided to go visit Kana, since they heard she'd woken up. Hell, it was a miracle she was alive after a wound like that. Kymin had a small boquet of flowers that each of the three ANBU coming had pitched in to buy. "Mornin," he said when they came in, a small smirk on his face. The smirk was because of the obvious surprise on Kana's face when they'd come in. Obviously she hadn't been expecting anyone to visit.

He turned to look at Serenity. How could he rest? "How long...." Felix stopped and pulled the oxygen mask off. It was clear from his end that trying to breath without the oxygen was not the brightest idea but it was muffling his voice. "How long have I been out?" And can I get some pain killers, my meds are wearing off. He wanted to say it aloud but he didn't want to bother her. He closed his eyes again. Sleep sounded good right about now though. He wanted to go back to the meadow with Meridian. To that place that seemed so real. He opened is eyes halfway. He wanted to ask about Kana. But thought better of it. "Sing for me?" He asked. That may have been asking a lot considering that he'd done so much damage. He'd have to report this and then he'd have to apologize to the kage and all the people's families that he'd killed. And then he'd have to rebuild Kyla's house and on top of that he had just made this mission even more complicated. Between Kana's fight with Aidelia and his chaotic rampage, they had not done anything to prove they could be fully trusted. This only made Felix feel worse. This was way too much to take in.

Serenity blinked when Felix took the oxygen mask on, clearly not happy about that. "Felix..." She sighed. "Four days," she told him. She went to put the mask back on him, but paused when he told her to sing for him. At that, she smiled lightly. "Of course." She would always sing for him. "But your oxygen mask is going back on," she said with that same light smile, replacing the mask. Serenity took a moment to think about a song. The song she chose had been stuck in her mind for a while. Taking a breath, Serenity let it out slowly before starting to sing.

Kana blinked. Yes, she was in surprise. She didn't think anyone would come to see her, least of all the ANBU. They hated her. "What..." Kana gave a cough. Her throat felt really dry. "How long...have I been out..?" She instead asked. She didn't know what had happened to Felix, but right now, she couldn't care less. She didn't care if Kyla had made him mortal, she didn't care if he'd failed in his ambitions, she didn't care if he'd run away. She. Did. Not. Care.

Kymin smiled as she spoke, putting the flowers in a vase next to her bed. "About four days. Give or take a few hours." He chuckled when Kana groaned. "How ya feeling?" The other ANBU laughed when Kana gave him a death glare for that one.

Felix gave a reluctant look as she put the mask back on. If he could cross his arms he would have done just that. Alright Nurse Serenity. Thoughts were much easier than speaking anyway. Felix listened to Serenity sing. The urge to cry started to work it's way up, but he couldn't cry. Not here. Not now. Not with her in the room. The last time he'd cried it'd ended with this. Felix pushed that thought to the back of his mind. When the song was over he was relaxed enough to fall asleep but he remained awake. Felix gave up trying to speak. He'd use hand gestures to get his point across. He pointed to himself, then made a heart, pointed at Serenity, and then pointed to his ear. Yeah, he wasn't sure what to use for singing, so she'd just have to figure it out. When he was done he felt like he'd just lifted the world. Felix wasn't planning on moving again. Words were okay.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Tue Dec 27, 2011 3:51 am

Serenity tilted her head a bit as he started making hand guestures. When she figured out what he was trying to say, she smiled, and for a moment almost looked like she wanted to cry. God, how she'd missed him. Why did he always have to end up like this? Last time it was twelve years away, and he'd come home badly injured and without his memory. And now...now he couldn't even move. Had he been mortal, he would have died from the shock of the pain alone. But he hadn't...it was her own fault that he was in this kind of pain. "Do you need me to get you anything?" She should check his chart, see when the last time they gave him pain medication was. She didn't want him to be in any pain, none at all. Serenity had her hands crossed over her lap, but her bottom hand was unconsciously clenched a bit. She was upset with herself. Not with Felix, no. Being upset with him while he was in this condition would be cruel.

Kana couldn't believe these fools. Screwing with her while she was like this. Oooh, they just wait until she was well enough to move, she'd strangle'em! "Need anything?" Came from the second ANBU. Kana paused to think. For the moment, she wasn't in too much pain. She supposed she'd probably just been given pain meds before she'd woken up. "Water." The ANBU nodded, and the other two took seats around her, while the one who had asked got Kana the water. Seeing that she could move her left arm, he gave it to her. Kana drank the water down within seconds, then gave a sigh. Almost immediately her throat felt a bit better. But she knew that pain meds were supposed to make your throat dry, so she'd have to keep some water by her at all times. "Thanks," she said, her voice not nearly as scratchy now. The ANBU took the glass, put it on the side table next to her, and sat down as well.

Using the little remote thing on the side of the bed, Kana put the bed into a sitting position, so she could see the ANBU. "So...what's the damage?" Work first, joking later.

Kymin was the one to speak up. The other two kinda clammed up at the question. "As for your injuries...multiple shuriken wounds, two broken ribs, bruising around your abdomen. The worst of it is your right arm though. Real deep bite mark, as well as the upper portion of your arm being broken. You won't be able to use that arm for a long time. The doctor says that you might not be able to use it at full strength again." This information made Kana flinch. Her right arm was her dominant arm. She couldn't punch nearly as hard with her left arm, and her left arm's aim wasn't too hot. Kymin noticed this. "You'll still be able to use it, don't worry." That didn't reassure Kana, and it was noticeable. So he carried on. "Lady Kyla's house is in ruins. As far as I know, she'll be staying in the Rock until it's fixed, curtisy of our Kage. There's one other ANBU in the hospital that had gotten in the path of the summoning that your partner ha-...what?" The moment Kymin had said partner, Kana had glared at him, leaving the ANBU a bit confused.

"He's not my partner," she said bluntly, her voice a bit cold. The other two ANBU looked at each other, a bit of confusion on their faces, before looking to Kymin, who was looking at Kana.

"I..." Kymin truly did not know how to respond to that. "Um. In either case...he's in the hospital, down the h-"

"Don't care." A silence passed over the room. "What's going on with the Kage....what does he plan on doing?" she asked to break the silence, and change the subject. The ANBU stayed silent for a moment. Kana rolled her eyes at them. "Listen...I don't care, what happens to him now...He's getting sent home after this...What happens to him..." Kana coughed. She shouldn't be talking so much. But the ANBU didn't know that. Unfortunately, that first cough had sent her into a small fit of coughs. Her head had started pounding because of it, making her feel light headed. The wound on her shoulder had started bleeding once more, even though it had been stitched closed. The beast had made her chakra flow irregular when it had bit her, which Kana hadn't noticed until now. It was causing her wounds to act up when they shouldn't. In addition, it was making blood go places it shouldn't. Like out of her mouth when she coughed.

Kymin jumped up and ran out of the room, flagging down a nurse, who came running in at the sound of the heart monitor going haywire.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Tue Dec 27, 2011 8:50 am

Felix needed a lot of stuff that she could do for him. He needed someone to get him an update on what was happening with the outside world, he needed to know how Kana was, he needed to know how many causalities had occurred, he needed to know if he would be capable of of ever being a ninja again, he needed to know the extent of the damage on himself, he needed to know what the Crested planned on doing with him, he needed to know if this bit of information had made it to the Sand yet. Felix shook his head no. "I'm fine." In truth, Felix would never be fine again. Four days ago the Blue Demon took something from him. A piece of him that could never be replaced. As much as he'd hate to do this now, Felix had to go back to no emotions. Emotions included anger and hate, he couldn't express that anymore. It was what led to the loss of control. To the Awakening. He settled into the covers that suddenly felt as if they weighed a ton. On the other hand he could use some pain killers and some water, but he didn't want to bother her about it. He'd ask a nurse whenever they decided to pop up.

Just like that there was a knock on the door. Felix's gaze turned towards the white wall. He heard voices outside, but couldn't make them out. What was going on? Then the door opened. Felix cocked his head to the right to see who was coming through. He was surprised to see Liam followed by a group of genin and Academy ninja. "Hi Sensei," Liam said with a smile on his face. In his hands was a card. "Me and all the Academy Ninja and Genin thought we should make you a get well card." He walked over and handed Felix the card, unaware that any movement was a strain for his silver haired mentor. An older girl set a vase of flowers on a table. Felix took the card without hesitation. "Thank you." He said, once more reminded by the freakin mask. He pulled it down. "Thank you all." Liam and the other kids gave a you're welcome, that was echoed by even more kids outside the door. Felix looked to Liam for an explanation. "They wouldn't let us all in. Too many of us and they said you needed rest." Felix would have patted the kid on the head any any other situation. On a different note he was really bothered by the fact that they had to see him like this. All hook up to wire that God knew were going where. He knew he was in a really bad shape, he'd noticed it on the faces of some of the kids. The reaction was there and gone, but he'd seen them. "Time's up," a grumpy male voice sounded. Liam looked back over his shoulder as the others started filing out. He stepped away from the bed. "We'll be back," he said with a wave. "Get well soon, Sensei."

Felix watched them go. He owed each and every one of them. He opened the card. and read each of the names signed in children's handwriting. When the door closed Felix couldn't stop the tears. When he tried to wipe them away they seemed to have gone useless. So he sat there, warm tears streaming down his face. No sniffles, just tears.

(AWWWW)

Serenity didn't believe him when he said he was fine. He could have said no. But an 'I'm fine'? She pushed the thought away when a knock sounded at the door. She blinked to see kids coming in with a card. This actually made Serenity smile. She watched the kid give Felix the card, a light frown passing her face as he moved to take it. It was gone as soon as it had come though. She saw the faces of some of the students. Poor kids. She sat silently as the one kid talked to Felix. When they left, Serenity gave them all a warm smile. How nice that had been. When she looked to Felix, her smile was replaced with a brief expression of confusion. He was...crying? Her smile returned, but it was a soft smile. She put her hand on one of his lightly. A moment later, she got up from her seat and kissed him lightly on the forehead. For no apparent reason. For some reason, it just kinda...fit the moment. "You okay Fe..?" she asked with a smile. She moved her chair so that she could sit and keep her hand on his without having to bend over too much.

The nurse rushed into Kana's room and told Kymin to call another nurse in, just in case. She put Kana's bed back into laying down and quickly took an oxygen mask from nearby, hooking it up quickly with the help of the other two ANBU. After a few moments, Kana's coughs had died down, but her breathing was labored, and she was in obvious pain. Her chest was aching something fierce, and breathing now was no easy task. She felt ready to pass out, feeling so light-headed at the moment.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 16 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Felix looked up into Serenity's face as she came to his side. He needed that. He needed her comfort most of all. He took her hand in his once she'd adjusted her seat. He liked that she could smile through all of this. If it wasn't for her, he'd probably have not gotten this far. Felix closed his eyes. "Thanks for being here." He said. It wasn't long after that Felix was sleep. No dreams came to him. When he woke up again it was a few hours later. Nothing was really hurting and he guessed the nurse had come in and given him pain killers. It was nice not to wake up and feel as though you were being crush by the very force of the earth.

Heels clicked against the floor of the hospital as the secretary made her way to the front desk. She was being accompanied by six ANBU. All wearing their mask. "Excuse me, I need the room numbers to Felix Kuriyama and Kana Kianashi. I'm here on orders from the Kage." The receptionist straightened up immediately. "Third floor. Kuriyama is in 312, Kianashi is in 327." The Secretary nodded and went to the elevator. Kianashi was first. She knocked twice and opened the door. "Kana Kianashi, I'm here on behalf of the Kage of both the Crested and the Rock. These three ANBU are here from the Crested." Her brown eyes were serious. She'd also requested that Konner be found and sent up. He had to be here to know what was going on since he was a Crested ninja. This involved him to.

"Kianashi, you are temporarily relieved of your services here in the Rock until you've recovered enough to resume your mission. If recovery fails to progress you will immediately be sent back to you village. No objections." She looked at Kana, waiting for the girl to speak and then continue. "The ANBU of your village will ensure that the mission is continued." The secretary looked back at the ANBU of the Crested. Each gave a nod. "As for your partner, Kuriyama's off the mission. He's now seen as a threat to the Rock. There will be a lot of paperwork to fill out and a trail will be held in regards to the damage done." The secretary paused. "That is all. The ANBU will return to you once I have talked to Kuriyama." She turned away and stepped out the room, nodding to Kymin and the others.
