Felix looked at Kana carefully as she figured out what he was talking about. "Yes, that meeting. The one that involves explaining ourselves to the Kage for last nights little mishap." Was that sarcasm in his voice? Felix backed away from her. "We're wasting time, let's go." Nopes, he wouldn't allow her to shower or anything of that nature. They were late and had wasted enough time finding her. Playtime was over and Felix was once again reverting back into the old him. He was still upset about last night. Kana had been very unprofessional and now this. Just great. Some example they were setting.

Kana blinked herself awake for a few moments before she realized that Felix had backed away from her. She pushed herself up. This was a disaster. Things were not going well. After this was all said and done with, the kage meeting that was, she had to apologzie to him. Noticing the black cat, Kana went past it and followed after Felix. This wouldn't turn out well. Kana was still groggy. And on top of that, she turned up to the meeting late. Her word would not be taken into consideration lightly. She was losing influence.

Felix glanced back at the cat. He'd bring it some food or something once this was all over. It had kind of led him to his irresponsible partner. Arriving at the Kage office he looked at the secretary. "Hey, can you page the ANBU and tell them that the Crested ninja are back." The secretary smiled delightfully as Felix greeted her. "Sure thing," she answered. Felix kind of liked her. She was cute and did he job well. "Thanks," Felix said, patting her on the head like a puppy that had just used the puppy pads instead of urinating on the floor. "Go right in," said the woman, picking up some papers to hide her blush. Felix nodded to her and went into the office. Now it was game time.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Sat Dec 10, 2011 10:34 am

(Haha, gametime indeed.)

Kana kinda wondered what that cat was doing following them around. It was cute, but sorta...odd. Out of place, if you will. The brown haired ANBU followed Felix silently. She had nothing to say. How was she going to recover her reputation from this? She wasn't naturally reckless, neither was she usually so irresponsible. She wasn't entirely sure what was wrong with her. She was better than this. She could do better than she had been doing. Her thought process was making her feel like a little kid again, striving to impress her sensei. But was she doing it for him this time? She wasn't sure. As they walked into the kage's office, Kana took a deep breath. How was she going to explain what had happened without it turning into some major issue over her health? After all, passing out in an alley didn't give her much of a clean bill.

The black cat stopped outside the building as the two humans went in. It knew it wasn't allowed in buildings. Kinda made it lonely. So instead the cat turned around as the doors shut and walked off in a different direction. Eventually it stopped and laid down in front of a random store.

Aidelia had noticed the ANBU that had been watching her, because the only thing that was actually visible on the ANBU was her grey eyes. Was Aidelia nervous? Not at all. She'd been the Kage's advisor for eighteen years now, three days until it marked the exact date. But still...there was a bit stacked against her on this one. She'd screwed up. Once again her mind was brought back to the scrolls. How would she explain that? Something to keep Kana's chakra from spiking out in an attempt to attack? Yes, that would work. Every other detail she already had planned out. The worst that could happen was she'd get scolded for being irresponsible. She was banking on that. If not, she might have had to disappear from the village after this meeting was up. She looked up when the ANBU's phone buzzed. The woman looked at Aidelia. "The kage can see us now," she said. With that, Aidelia and the ANBU walked towards the office, but in awkward step. Neither of them wanted to be near each other.

Kymin looked at his phone as he got the text. "Nevermind doctor. She's been found. Thank you for your time," he said, before starting out of the room and towards the tower at a run. Great, now he was late. When he got there, he looked at the secretary. "They already in?" When it was confirmed, he nodded a thanks and went in as well. It had been about two minutes since the others had gotten in. The hostpital had nearly been on the other side of the village, and aside from that the office was on the third floor. "Sorry I'm late," he said. He wanted to relieve some of the pressure from Kana for having been late. He didn't know what had happened, but from the looks of things, Felix wasn't happy about it. Should he have asked? Maybe later.

(This is killing me here.)

The Kage looked to the ninja as they came in, seemingly two at a time. At least until the last two ANBU. They came in separately. The Kage leaned forwards in his chair and put his elbows on the table, looking over the ninja once. He hadn't been told why the meeting had to be postponed for the fifteen minutes it had been. He assumed it was for good cause. "So...who wants to start? What happened last night?" He'd only been told small details. An altercation between two ninja, Kana Kianashi and Aidelia Talan. A rather bad altercation which ended with a building having two walls knocked out. Of course, he'd been told that Felix had been there as well, but no more than who was there, and that three ANBU had found them. Thank god no one ended up dead. He didn't need that on his plate as well as everything else that was going on.

(It was storming so bad over here when I posted this, that I posted it up, then edited it several times to finish it up because I was afraid the power would go out. Neutral )

Felix looked at the ANBU who walked in last. He shook his head very slightly to indicate Kana's reason for being late was not good, but at the same time she hadn't run either. Felix crossed his arms as the Kage asked for someone to explain. He looked at Kana and nodded, making her do all the work. Yes, he was still made so she would explain everything. He'd fill in spots she failed to miss.

Kana had noticed the look that Felix had given her. He was still mad at her. Fan-fucking-tastic. And it wasn't helping Kana any that she was starting to get a migraine. Lovely. This whole situation was really starting to irritate her. But she had to keep her head...She was about to start speaking, but someone had cut her off.

"I had been coming back to the office to pick up some paper work I had forgotten. When I got there, I saw Ms. Kianashi leaving from the side of the building. It looked suspicious, so I went to question her, but she turned to make a break for it. That being said, I used a jutsu to make her unconscious. I took her to the building that we were found at last night, and since she has a reputation for being violent, I took precautions and tied her to a chair so she wouldn't attack me when I questioned her."

The Kage didn't look very pleased with this information. Kana had tried not to glare at the woman. It wasn't easy, but somehow she was pulling it off. "You forgot the part where you tested a jutsu on me the try to get into my mind. And the fact that the pain that jutsu had caused had made me fall unconscious a second time." Kana's voice was relatively calm about this, but her hands were folded behind her back so no one saw that her fists were clenched a shaking lightly.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Sat Dec 10, 2011 11:28 am

Felix wasn't about to let this happen. "Sir, if I may. Me and Kana had been suspicious that someone in the higher ranks of your village was a spy. From what we've seen, your ninja aren't very well trained, sir. So we devised a plan. Infiltrate the tower. Normally your ninja wouldn't have interfered, even with Kana's training, but Aidelia showed up. We figured someone would show, that someone being the one who didn't want us snooping around, going into personal files and figuring out who was behind this." Felix paused to allow the man to take this information in. "In addition to this, my teammate and I set a time. 31 minutes. One of your ninja wouldn't have been able to see through Kana's genjutsu, she's a specialist. But someone had been keeping an eye out. Someone had been listening. " He made sure to put emphasis on that. "Someone knew what we were planning and they showed up. That someone was Aidelia." Felix had not looked at the woman the entire time. He'd looked directly at the Kage. Voice steady, eyes focused. "When I came out the building, my partner was missing. I went to our rendezvous point, she was not there. I went home, she was not there. I used a summoning to track them. The Executioner tracks chakra. Kana at the time was unable to use her chakra. It had been exhausted from holding the genjutsu. Proving that Aidelia did use a jutsu against my partner. The Executioner picked up a high level chakra and tracked it. Please note that this is happening at midnight. Not many people use chakra at midnight, sir." Felix was trying to make a good case. Kana's reputation and their ability to walk freely through the village was riding on this. "When I got there, Kana was tied up and Aidelia had informed me of what she told you. What I didn't understand is why she would need chakra seals when Kana's chakra was exhausted. They were from my understanding used to conceal her chakra, not Kana's. She was going to infiltrate Kana's mind and find out what we knew, maybe even erase her mind." Felix stepped forward. "The seals were freshly bought," he reached into his pocket. "But they were cheap. A miscalculation she had failed to realize until the last minute." Felix laid the recovered tag on the Kage's desk and stepped back to his original spot. "I'm not saying that she is the spy, but I am saying she is now a suspect when it comes to this investigation." Felix fell silent. His eyes still on the Kage. He'd done a lot of thinking on this last night on his way home. And then this morning.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Sun Dec 11, 2011 10:27 am

(Damn, nice post!)

Kana chanced a glance at Felix as he started speaking. She wouldn't lie, she was thankful for his intervention. Thankful that he explained things the way he did. Under any other circumstances, Kana would have been much more calm about this, much more professional. But she didn't take lightly to being tested on. That was what was pissing her off. Not that she'd fallen into Aidelia's hands, not that Felix was pissed at her about rushing him. Being used as a test subject. She was trying desperately to keep her composure. Trying not to make herself, and Felix, look bad. As well as the Crested. If she acted out, things would only get harder.

The Kage kept his hands folded as the ninja spoke. He was not happy about Aidelia's actions. He knew what jutsu she used. It was forbidden to use it to collect information from someone who was living. She had known what would happen. As had he, and everyone else who knew about the jutsu. In the village, the only people who knew about it were Kymin, Aidelia, Tanaka and the Kage himself. When Felix finished talking, a moment of silence passed before the Kage sighed. "I see." He looked at the tag on his desk. It was made of rather cheap material. It was no wonder it couldn't withstand the amount of chakra being placed into it. He shook his head. "I apologize for your troubles. I assure you that the proper actions will be taken in regards to Aidelia's mistakes. In the meantime, I ask that you continue your investigation and come to me with anything you need, and any information you collect in regards to the spy you believe has infiltrated my village. Thank you for your hard work. You and your partner can go. Aidelia, you and Tanaka stay in the room. The rest of you can go. Except you Kymin. Wait outside my office, I have to speak with you." A pause. "Ms. Kianashi, I suggest you have yourself checked out at the hospital, just in case."

Kana looked at the Kage. That was it? Appropriate actions would be taken? That was it!? The corner of Kana's lip twitched in irritation. "With all due respect sir, I'm fine."

The Kage looked at her a moment before giving a light shrug. "Alright then."

Kana gave a sigh and glanced at Felix for a very brief moment before turning and starting out of the office. Great, now she had to apologize and thank him. When they were out of the office, and of the building, Kana finally spoke. "Thanks..." It wasn't her usual tone either. Not the attitudey one, but not a casual tone either. Kana didn't want to say it aloud, but she was beyond ashamed of herself. What had gotten into her lately? Not only was she being reckless, but her temper was flaring out of control. Had this happened because she'd become immortal? Was it just a stage? Maybe she was simply adjusting to the new mindset. She'd be alive forever. That wasn't something one got used to overnight.

Aidelia wasn't happy with the Kage's decision to simply let the two of them go, and it showed on her face with a frown. She looked at the two Jonin as they walked out. A moment later, they were followed by the three ANBU. The Kage was clearly not happy with her. And Tanaka never really liked her much to begin with. Fun, oh joy joy fun, this would be.

Kymin nodded, giving a slight bow when the Kage told him to wait outside the office. He wondered what this could be about. He'd heard that the current ANBU Captain had just gone missing after being assigned an A rank mission with a squad. Maybe he'd be the one to lead the search. But he had to attend things here...this would be tough. He wanted to be here to ensure that Aidelia didn't escape once she was found out.

(thank you, you as well.)

Felix walked out the office after a small nod to the Kage. When Kana said thank you, he only nodded to her as well. He was running through his what the Kage was planning to do with Aidelia. She was a bad apple that was spoiling a potentially good bunch. Felix put his hands in his pockets once he was out the door. If Aidelia got off the hook, she'd be on watch by the Kage, the ANBU, and the Crested ninja. The only problem was that she'd be expecting it. She'd play more careful. Wait, no, that wasn't a problem. Felix grinned. If she played it safe, they'd know something was up. Felix's grin faded when something registered in his mind. The Kage had seemed to know something about the jutsu. He'd told Kana to get herself checked up. What exactly was the jutsu. He didn't feel like snooping today, but it was necessary to know. The Kage wouldn't just blurt it out, but maybe the secretary could help. Felix was going to have to start using all his sources. He looked at the sun. It had to be at least 11 by now. He had training sessions to work on. He stopped in the street and looked to the left. Training sessions it would be. "I have things to do, I'll see you later." With that he started for the Academy.

Kana was glad that he'd at least acknowledged her thanks. That made her feel a bit better. "Kay." Once he was down the street a bit, Kana sighed and started towards home. She needed a shower and a proper rest. But on the way home, she noticed something. The black cat from earlier was behind her. She stopped and looked at it. It looked back with an unblinking green gaze. Kneeling down, Kana held out her hand and the cat almost immediately brushed against it. So, it was a loveable cat. Kana looked in the direction that Felix had went, then back to the cat. Hey, it wouldn't hurt, right? Being careful, Kana picked up the cat, who didn't protest, and kinda lounged in her arms as she carried it. Okay, first, she'd feed the cat, THEN, she's shower and rest. When she got home, Kana took out two bowls and tore up some lunch meat to put in one, putting water in the other one. When the cat started eating, Kana got some clothes from her room and got in the shower.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:28 pm

Felix found his students scattered about the Academy. Some had taken it upon themselves to sit around and do nothing while others practice shuriken target practice and others ran around the track. Felix took note of what every one was doing. "Class," he called loud enough for them to hear. "Gather around." Each student came up. Felix looked them each in the eye. "Today I'll be seeing how well you can fight. I know you've been itching for some combat training. You will each face your partner. I'll come around and critique you. Get started. No weapons. This will be Taijutsu training." As the hours went by, Felix gave everyone a few pointers here and there. When training was over, everyone went home. Liam was the only student that remained. Lingering by the gates he waited for Felix to leave out the school gate. "Sensei," he called. Felix looked at the kid curiously. "Yes?" Liam approached him cautiously. "I got the book you asked for," he said as he pulled a book from his bag and reached up to hand it to Felix. The silver haired jonin nearly smiled, but stopped himself. He took the book and patted the kid on the head. "Thank you. Get on home before your parents get worried. I'll see you tomorrow." Liam smiled and nodded. Running off down the street and disappearing around a corner. Felix turned away after he was gone and went home, the book in his hand. Upon arriving home he noticed something was different. It wasn't long until he spotted the bowls. Did Kana do what he thought she'd done. He decided he didn't care. He remembered the book in his hand and went to the kitchen table and sat down. Opening it he slowly flipped through the pages, not bothering to read any of it. He was looking for something. He just had to figure out where it was.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Wed Dec 14, 2011 11:41 pm

(What's the book???)

After having showered and gotten dressed, Kana went straight to her bed and collapsed into it, falling asleep almost instantly after. Her body was still exhausted. She wondered if there was a way to figure out just what information Aidelia had taken from her. Kana had only planned to nap for about two hours. How would it look if, after all her screwups that day and the day before, Felix came home to find her sleeping? It wouldn't look good. At all. The only problem was, Kana's internal alarm didn't go off. She didn't even wake up when the black cat jumped onto her bed and made itself a comfy little bed on her back. Kana woke up maybe 5 hours later when she heard the door open. She looked at the clock next to her bed and groaned lightly. "Son of a bitch..." She went to move, but felt a pressure on her back, and turned her head to see the cat lift his and look back at her. "Mornin' Snicks," she said irritably. She gently rolled over to let the cat know it was time to get the hell offa her.

Sitting up, she grabbed a brush and brushed her slightly damp hair out. She didn't bother putting it back up, so it fell around her shoulders as a wavy brown curtain. Taking a deep breath, Kana started out of her room to face the music. Hopefully Felix wouldn't be playing a bitter tune. Then it hit her. Now was the perfect opportunity to apologize to him. No matter how his reaction was to her coming out of her room, now would be the perfect time. When she saw him, he seemed to be flipping through the pages of a book. She crossed over to him and looked at it curiously. "What's that?" The black cat had, unfortunately, followed her out of the room and laid in a corner by the heater.

(Nuthin)

Felix still hadn't found what he was looking for when Kana walked into the room, followed by softer footsteps that he was sure belonged to the cat. Felix never bothered to look up. The confirmation of Kana and the creature would probably set him off into some agitated lecture. "A book one of my students gave me." He answered. He wasn't obligated to tell her anything more. She'd done enough damage, he didn't need her screwing up the smaller plans he'd set in place. It was the little things that counted after all. He flipped another page. He was pretty much ignoring her existence. He should have went to his room, but he'd planned on calling Serenity. And there were still bugs in the house. Aidelia may have been listening to see what they were planning. Felix tapped the side of the book lightly. He needed to speak with that ANBU. See what the Kage had told him, if he guy was willing to share the information that was.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Merciful Overlord Thu Dec 15, 2011 12:36 am

Kana nearly sighed aloud. He was ignoring her. He wouldn't even look at her. Now was the time that she would apologize. But there was one thing that she was a bit conflicted on. Should she bow with her apology, or not. While she was thinking about it, Kana found herself pulled into a memory. It was one of the few memories of her father she still posessed.

_____________________________________

Kana's parents were having a couple friends over for dinner, and the little blond seven year old was throwing a temper tantrum over something. She didn't remember what. Her father had quite literally dragged her into the kitchen by her arm. He was about twenty-seven at this point. Light brown hair (caramel brown, as Kana always called it when she was remembering), and kind brown eyes, but at this point in time, they were not kind at all. This was the most angry he'd ever been with her. But that didn't seem to register in little Kana's head.

"Kana Kianashi, stop right now." His tone was firm and angry.

"No!" She tried to run out of the room, only to be grabbed by the back of her shirt, then lifted up by under her arms and sat onto a countertop, her father standing in front of her, his arms crossed. It was his angry gaze when she looked at him that caused her to stay put.

"Cut it out. Now, Kana. I mean it. You know better than to act like that at all, even moreso when we have company." Kana crossed her arms and looked off to the side with a defiant "hmph!" Her dad raised an eyebrow at her. "Excuse me?" Kana seemed to freeze up, and fell silent. "That's what I thought. Now, I'm gonna take you off the counter. When I do, I want you to go back in there, bow, and apologize to your mom and our guests for throwing that tantrum."

At this, Kana looked at him. "Bow? That'd look stupid!"

"If you're sincere about an apology, you bow to show it. Doesn't matter who it is, or where. And t certainly doesn't matter how silly you may look." Kana said nothing, but it didn't look like she was about to bow to anyone. "Do you want mamma to be upset with you?"

The question clearly took the young girl off guard, her defensive anger fading. "No..."

"Well, she's gonna be if you don't apologize. Kana, a lot of times in life, you're gonna have to swallow your pride to right a wrong. Now is one of those times. Your pride is not worth breaking relationships over." At this, Kana actually started looking a little guilty. Their usual kindness returned to her father's eyes as he lifted her from the counter, put her on the floor, and rubbed the top of her head a bit. "Go on then."

Kana looked down, her head moving away as he rubbed it, going back out into the diningroom. Her father stood in the doorway and watched. After a moment, and with her mom's and the two guests' eyes on her, Kana bowed to her mom deeply. "Sorry momma." Then she turned to the guests and did the same, though the bow was a little less deep. "Sorry for interrupting dinner..." Her mom, blond haired and brown eyed like Kana, smiled. Her father was leaning against the door frame, arms crossed, and a smile on his face as well.

_____________________________________

The memory came and went in the flash of an instant. She'd decided. She gave a light sigh before speaking. "Felix." She didn't wait for him to turn to look at her before she bowed low. "I'm really sorry. For everything. Screwing up on the mission, saying all those stupid things, going off on you yesterday, the whole...immortality thing, everything." Her voice had a tone in it that she thought she'd lost all those years ago. This was probably the most sincere she'd ever been. It surprised even her, the tone of which her voice came out. In fact, she had been so sincere about it, she'd almost told him that if he wanted for her to, she would go to Kyla to have the immortality reversed. She couldn't believe that she'd actually almost said it. Her mouth had in fact opened to, but she closed it again, thankful that she was bowing so Felix hadn't been able to see it. Most of her hair had fallen around her head, so actually, barely any of her face was visible aside from her forehead.

Granted, the whole part about her screwing up the mission was untrue. At least, to an outsider it would have seemed so. Kana still blamed herself for getting caught by Aidelia yesterday. She should have seen the jutsu coming towards her. Should've been able to find some way to get out of it's path. Should have made her way towards Kyla's place faster. Anything. But instead, Felix had to go save her, yet again. She was starting to feel like the damsel in distress, and it did not suit her tastes at all.

(lol. Felix is always saving damsels in distress.)

Felix was still looking through the book until Kana had made her apology. That had caused him to turn because it sounded really sincere. When he saw her bowing he raised an eyebrow. "Apology accepted." He said and turned back to his work. He had nothing more to say. He was busy and finding what he was looking for was not in the least bit simple. There were so many pages in this book that it wasn't going to be simple. And because he could not divide the book, Kana would be no use. Felix flipped another page. He wasn't planning on taking some of the blame for the mission failure. If she chose to beat herself up over that then it sounded like a personal problem.

Well, as succinct as he'd been about it, it still made Kana feel a hell of a lot better. She really had meant it. And she didn't know why, but after that, she kinda wanted to tease him a bit too. Kana straightened out of the bow. And since they were on the subject of apologies...Kana went over to the fridge and pulled out a soda, before looking at Felix for a moment. She started out of the room, speaking as she went. "Oh yeah. And for that ice water prank I pulled twelve years ago," she added. She wanted to see if he'd react to that. Twelve years ago, one year after she'd become his student, she'd pulled a rather...mean prank on him. One day while Felix had left to go get groceries, or whatever the hell he had gone to get, the thirteen year old Kana had snuck into his home and set up a bucket of ice water over his front door rigged to fall on him when he re-entered his home. And Kana had been really careful about it, she left no traces that she'd ever been there. As far as she knew, Felix never found out who the perp was. But he had been especially irritable in training the next day. The memory of this caused a grin to form on Kana's face, making her glad she'd been facing away from him as she walked out.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

(lol, hush)

Felix was looking at the book, midway flipping the page when she brought up the ice water incident. Felix dropped the page, noting the number he was on and closed the book very carefully. Getting up he pushed his chair in and placed the book on the counter. When he turned his eyes were hidden. In an instant the table had been flipped over. So she was the little brat that had done it. He'd figured it had to be her. She was the only one who didn't cower under his training. The others were a bunch of a gutless fish. "I'm going to kill you." He responded; low and sinister. Felix wasn't really going to kill her, he couldn't, she was immortal. But all the same, she was in fact going to take a massive beating from him. He'd come home in a fair mood, and then wham, he was soaked in ice cold water. His clothes soaked, his food soggy. And the paperwork he'd had was ruined.

Kana looked over her shoulder as the table was flipped. Aww, had she pissed him off? How cute. ....She kinda wanted to say that aloud. To add fuel to the fire. Hell, he was already gonna kick her ass, why not say something? "Oh ya think that, huh?" she simply couldn't stop herself from grinning and laughing at his reaction, but her laughter came in the form of small chuckles she was clearly trying to hold back. "Awww, sorry, did I piss you off? And here I was thinking you liked water." She shrugged. "Too bad." The only thing that was noticeable in her tone was pure teasing. Now that he'd finally found out who it had been, she was in for it. On the bright side, she had a nice cold grape pop in her hand. If worst came to worst, she'd dump it over his head. At this point in time, she really was glad that she was immortal. Else he might actually have killed her. NOT.

Felix shook his head at her teasing. He'd fix her. One, he was still mad about all that had happened. Apology or not. And then there was the fact that whenever he teased an girl, things happened. Moments were he showed a weakness in emotion. For instance, Serenity. He ended up cuddled up on the couch with her, or having food fights. A momentary feeling of homesickness came over him. He turned away slowly. "No, you didn't piss me off, I just felt the need to flip a table." He took the book off the shelf and went to his room. Talk about a mood killer.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Kana blinked as he slowly turned away, her grin fading slightly. He'd calmed down already? How disappointing. She was actually kinda looking forward to seeing him pissed off. And was that sarcasm she heard in his voice? Could've been. She raised an eyebrow as he went into his room. "I take it that one doesn't get forgiven?" she called after him, but didn't move from her spot. She gave a light chuckle, then shook her head. She'd only been trying to lighten the mood a bit. Didn't seem to have worked too well. Kana plopped down on the couch and looked at the cat as it jumped onto the back of the couch and laid down. Silly cat.

Turning her head, Kana looked at the remote on the end table. She decided, hell, why waste time watching TV, having done nothing all day but sleep anyway, when she could work on her genjutsu? Yeah, she was gonna do that. Putting her soda down on the end table, Kana got into a comfortable sitting position, which included her legs folded to her side on the couch and her elbow leaning on the arm of the couch to prop her head up. After she did the jutsu and let her mind wander into her genjutsu, she'd pretty much look like she'd fallen asleep. And it was close anyways. In her genjutsu, she sat down in front of what seemed to be a small pond with a waterfall in the back and a small stream running through it. The giant blackbird that was her favorite creation was perched next to her, but in this time it looked more like a griffin, and it was smaller. Kana had a notepad out and was thinking of more creatures she could add to her illusion.

Felix got back to flipping through the pages of the book. It wasn't until he was in the quiet of his room that he realized this book was new. Very new. The pages were crisp. What exactly had Liam been playing at? Felix flipped another page. This was getting tiring. He closed the book and laid down on his arms crossed behind his head. "I need some air." He gave a small sigh. He didn't feel like getting up, but at the same time, he reallly wanted to just get out of this apartment. He needed to figure some things out.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Kana sat in the genjutsu with her legs folded. The purple of the sky wasn't ominous now. In fact, it wasa very light shade of lavander. Almost pink. Now, Kana wasn't a big fan of pink at all. In fact, aside from brown, that was her least favorite color. But she didn't want to distort the genjutsu too much. It would upset everything. But Kana didn't feel like sitting in those ominous purple skies while she worked. It always made her feel edgy, despite the fact that this world was of her own invention. The grass was still blue though. She didn't change that. And the water was a normal color, the foam at the bottom of the small waterfall it's rightful white color. There weren't any fish swimming around in the small pond.

The griffin next to her, what was usually the blackbird in the real jutsu, was completely black except for the three eyes. Those were still red. It was about the size of a large horse, and it's back legs were hooves, while it's front legs remained as talons. Laying next to Kana, the creature actually seemed quite docile. Kana was thinking of maybe making a summoning out of it. But she wasn't sure how to make a genjutsu into reality. Something to do with alchemy, she was sure. But she wasn't knowledgeable in that area, not at all. She was never good with poisons and potions and chemicals and things like that. When she was younger, attempting to make poisons of her own, they usually tended to blow up in her face. Literally. She was damn lucky she never got any permanant acid damage from it.

"What do you think King, what kind of creature should I add....I already have your flock for the sky...and I have the lizards to cover the ground...perhaps I should add a lake of some kind, and put something in there..." she spoke softly. When she was thinking, she always talked to the bird, like it was her subconscious or something. Maybe it was. Either way, it helped her think. As if on cue with the water comment, the blackbird flicked a palm sized rock into the water with its' front claws and let out a crow-like squawk. "Thought so..." With that, Kana fell silent and opened her book, starting several scetches of odd looking creatures all at the same time. One of them was bound to catch her fancy. The Sky Birds have speed and King has fire, the lizards also have speed, but only on all fours. Their main attribute is strength and their claws. But by damn those things are lazy...so...what attributes should I give my water dwellers...? Kana thought silently. She never actually realized until that very moment that her thoughts were not actually silent. They echoed throughout the genjutsu as if the realm was the inside of her head. She was really glad that in editing the jutsu was the only place that happened. Otherwise...well, otherwise it would just be a mess. And she would never invite someone into this part of her mind. She never actually realized that someone could get sucked into this part of the genjutsu just from physical contact with her. Why? Well, because it never happened before.

Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma - Page 12 Empty Re: Transfer Mission: The Blackbird's Dilemma

Post by The Godfather Mon Dec 19, 2011 10:21 am

Felix forced himself to get up. He dropped the book in a drawer and made his way to the living room where he found Kana sleeping. He looked at the cat that had been sitting with her. "You want to go outside?" Felix asked. He'd let the cat out for a while and when they came back in, he'd wake Kana. He needed his air first. Felix started out the door, leaving it partially cracked. He had his jacket on so, he could feel his cigarette case. He'd never gotten around to getting the lighter. Felix wanted a cigarette right about now. Hell, he might just get one. He started down the road to the nearest convenience store and bought a pack. Leaning against the store wall he emptied the pack into the case and pulled out one. "I shouldn't be doing this, but I don't give a damn at this point in my life."

(Lol, Fe talked to the cat)

Kana kept her place in the illusion, actually making some progress in the scetches. There was one she was particularly fond of. It reminded her a bit of a shark mixed with some kind of mermaid. It looked partially humanoid, except for the fact that it was covered in scales. The upper portion of the body had arms and a torso, sharp claws, and teeth like a sharks'. The lower portion was much like how one would imagine a mermaid to be, only it was gray and the scales were very rough and sharp. Kana liked this one. So, hell, she decided to start on a 'prototype'. As soon as she had the details imagined, the thing surfaced from the small pond in front of her. It didn't seem to like the shallowness of the pond, so Kana made it a bit bigger, a bit deeper, so the creature could swim around more. As it swam, Kana noticed it was silent. That was good.

The black cat lifted its' head and looked at Felix as it was spoken to, following after the silver haired man obediently. Once outside, it stretched and then shook it's fur out. It followed after Felix, happily rubbing up against his leg now and again.

Felix looked at the cat as it rubbed against his leg. He slid to the ground and petted it on the head. "I think I'll get a cat for my girls when I get back home," he said with a nod. Felix light the cigarette and took a long drag. Yeah, he'd done it. Now what? Felix hadn't had a cigarette since he was two hundred and four years old. He was eight hundred and fourteen now. That was a long time ago. "Old habits die hard. Looks like mine just came back." Felix wasn't planning on this becoming a habit again though. It was bad for his health and he was a ninja. His health was all he had.
